Does increased EWCM around the middle of my cycle mean that I am ovulating on that day or does it mean ovulation is near?

Lots of it this morning and it is around predicted time however DH is a bit rundown with a cold and not feeling up to much so now I am slightly worried we’ll miss our chance in April?

We DTD yesterday and day before, he said if he feels up to it we will later but we won’t force it if he’s not feeling the best. Even if we don’t tonight will this have been enough?

Sorry for a stupid question. 6th month trying with no luck as of yet and just wondering where I am going wrong/what I’m missing

Hi @hopingandwishing98 are you using OPKs and/or temping? CM isn’t that reliable as it’s often a few days before ovulation. I would usually get most EWCM around 3/4 days before. I would suggest using OPKs so you know you are DTD at the right time. Good luck

@hopingandwishing98 ewcm is usually in the lead up to ovulation and can be anywhere from 1 day before to 4-5 days before. I think you'll be fine to have a day off and try again tomorrow. Good luck!

@Stabal @Hopefulhedgehog thank you!

I thought it meant I ovulated that day/the day after so we’ve always went off that. Perhaps there is where we’re going wrong!

Not temping or using ovulation tests as we kind of wanted to ‘go with the flow’ per say and was worried I’d get obsessive if using them. Maybe I should start though as what I’ve been going off has been completely wrong!

Thank you for the reassurance I feel much better now knowing that it doesn’t mean we’ll miss it.
