Early ovulation - help!

Girls, I really need some help.
Let me tell you a bit of background, if that will help.
I'm 37 and had two miscarriages. We took all the fertility tests and they were all fine.
My period has been problematic so they asked I take progesterone vaginally.
Last month I started taking progesterone and stopped after 14 days because it was BFN.
My period came 4 days later and lasted 6 days.
I started peeing on LH sticks day CD8. It showed low. CD9 it showed high, and today it's CD10 it was still showing high.
This means that I either ovulated today or will ovulate tomorrow - CD11. Before progesterone and abnormal periods I would ovulate CD14-ish.
I read a few things online (😫) and it says that short follicular phase can cause the egg to either not be fertilized or be underdeveloped. This obviously made me stressed out so I came to ask you all....
Did any of you have a successful pregnancy from early ovulation?? Or, is this something to be concerned with.
Please respond :( I don't know what to think...

Do you temp as well? Sometimes your body can have multiple surges/attempts at ovulating so can have multiple peaks throughout your cycle. Definitely worth trying though just in case :)

firsttimemummy321 · 11/04/2021 07:02

Sorry i pressed send too soon 🙈

I'm so sorry about your losses 🤞🏻 it will happen soon for you.

If you temp then a temp rise with the positive opk can confirm ovulation

I ovulate on CD10 or 11 of a 27/28 day cycle and have been a bit worried about early ovulation too. I am TTC #1 and am 33 so I have never tracked ovulation previously. From what I have read I seem to be right on the cusp of ovulating too early - most articles I have read suggest ovulating before CD11 is too early and the egg may be immature. People mostly seem to have problem with short literal phase rather than follicular so I have struggled to find much advice about any supplements to take to try and push ovulation back a few days.

B6 will help. I was ovulating on CD8, started B6 and it went to CD11. Couldn’t get it later than that. I did get pregnant but had a blighted ovum. Immature egg maybe? I’ll never know.

I went on progesterone for a cycle a few months ago and the following cycle I didn’t ovulate until CD32. This month CD13/14 and I’ve not taken B6.

I think you need to see how the next couple of cycles go. Might be back to normal next cycle.

I’d also recommend temping, OPKs only tell you if you’re having an LH surge not that you have ovulated and you shouldn’t start progesterone until you have confirmed ovulation.

Good luck x

@firsttimemummy321 I do not temp. What do you ladies use and do you just take temperature of your mouth or do you actually measure your vaginal temp? Would love more advice on this

@Hopefulhedgehog seems like we are in the same boat. I used to have very long periods so it was hard to really tell when I ovulate but now since I started progesterone it made my period normal and last just 6 days so it was easy to see when I ovulate and it's obviously early. Now I'm wondering if this was the reason for my miscarriages :( ... I also don't see anything on the internet about how to fix early ovulation besides one article that talks about giving up things life sugar and wheat from the diet but I don't eat much of either.

@Redpanda21 thank you so much for your advice. This is the first cycle since taking progesterone and my period being regular length so maybe I always ovulated early and just didn't know. I will try taking the b6. I thought taking prenatal vitamin would be enough. I'll do anything at this point... It's been three month since we are trying again and we are not getting the result we want.
I wish there were more positive stories that women with sorry follicular phase actually had healthy babies....

@Redpanda21 can you advice on temping. I'm not doing it currently. What do you use and how?

@VixFromThe6ix I just use a thermometer that goes to 2 decimal places and I take mine orally but you can do either :)

VixFromThe6ix · 11/04/2021 16:12

@firsttimemummy321 do you measure first thing in the morning?

OP posts:
firsttimemummy321 · 11/04/2021 16:41

Yeah as soon as I wake up before I get up (best if you try to do it around the same time every day :) )

VixFromThe6ix · 11/04/2021 16:56

@firsttimemummy321thank you! I'll try to measure as of next cycle.

CD11 today and it's still showing high .... 🤔 Can LH be high for 3 days??

OP posts:
firsttimemummy321 · 11/04/2021 21:03

@VixFromThe6ix I had nearly a week of highs last months 🙈 not sure how normal it is though

VixFromThe6ix · 11/04/2021 21:43

@firsttimemummy321 oh jeez... This is so confusing. I sometimes feel like my body is doing things not to get pregnant on purpose. First I had a super short luteal phase. Fixed that. Early lining shedding. Fixed it. Now it's a short follicular phase.

It doesn't end....
