OPK / Natural Cycles and ovulation date help

Hi everyone, I have been using Natural Cycles as contraception for about a year and a half - switched to planning pregnancy a couple of cycles ago. Natural Cycles has been putting my ovulation date as 4 days after peak LH. This just seems like a really long time after LH surge? I thought it only lasted 12-24 hours? Has anyone else had this and found it was right? Thanks in advance!

You might be best off inputting your temps and opk results into fertility friend to be honest - natural cycles has a tendency not to be good at taking the LH surge into account when calculating the ovulation date.

@Juno231 oh really? Thanks so much. I did read somewhere that Natural Cycles was better for contraception than conception as it just relies on temp increase to say after ovulation has taken place!

@RoseGold24 yes that's my understanding as well - whereas a good app like FF takes opks and ewcm into account as well :)

Feel free to post your chart though if you want us to have a gander at your temps

@Juno231 ah thanks that's so helpful! First pic is Feb, we weren't properly trying then but I was better at recording OPKs than March. What's confusing me as well is that it's saying day of temp raise is ovulation, but I would have thought day before temp raise is ovulation? Second pic is this cycle. I know we need to DTD more but life gets in the way, hence needing to narrow down the days!
