DS is 9mths and I want another! Its that simple, apart from the fact I haven't had AF since he was born.
Sorry to sound spoilt.

If he's eating well, then AF will be along soon enough - with my last 3, i've concieved within 2 months of cycle returning (while still BF )
DS1 af at 10 months
DS2 af at 12 months
DD af at 7 months (M/c, but pg again 9 weeks later)

Your periods may be just around the corner, regardless of bf! Mine came back at 9 months despite still feeding about 9 times a day!

I gradually cut down bf to combine with formula from when ds was 4m, by the time he was 6m he was on formula and solids, I had one AF when he was 6m, thought we'd see if we could manage another one, and now have two babies with a 17m gap.
If you are still partially bf or have just stopped when you start trying again you are fertile as hell (so my gp said!) as your body is still 'primed for pregnancy'.
So maybe bf less or stop to get AF back? (although my friend has 15m between babies....with no return of AF in between!!!)
Worked for us anyway, took years to have DS1 and then ds2 just seemed to come along for the ride!
Good luck!

Thank you all, DS has 2 or 3 b/feeds a day.
Flibbertyjibbet - I love the quote from your GP!
Never thought I'd be wanting periods, I've loved not having them for over a year!
