Is this almost positive...?

Hi all!

It's been almost a year now of TTC.. we have been through some really rough times with two CP's and decided not to track anything for the last 3 months.

Today I've had some really strange heavy / pulling feelings in my side, similar to ovulation so I decided to take an OPK.
The bottom one is today, against yesterday's one (top)
I finished my period on Friday.. it started on the Monday of last week.

This seems really early for me. Does the bottom test look almost positive to anybody else?

I've never used this brand of test before, they're just from Amazon!

No it has to be the same colour as the control line or darker. I would guess it would be Thursday. But keep testing twice a day and you won't miss it

It is a decent line...but I found a big difference between the maximum darkness of the second line between opk brands. If you keep testing each day you might find the line keeps getting darker and darker and it could be a good week before it peaks.
(With one brand I tried, some cheap ones from eBay, I never had a second line darker than your photo!)
So you might just have to see how these ones respond for you

Thank you both! It seems really strange to me as the line does appear already much darker than the other brand I've used previously! I wonder if it's the variation between tests.
This would be extremely early for me to ovulate (going by my previous cycles) but not entirely impossible!

I would test again this evening, I've always noticed my lines get darker in the evening. Mine appear like those photographs for a couple of days until they get really dark but I do agree with pp it does depend on test brand.

Is that a one step opk? I used them for the first time last month, and only got a line as dark as that on OD and the day before. I tested at about 3/4pm both days. It's supposed to be a much darker line when it's positive but that didn't happen for me 🤷‍♀️

I was using the CB advanced tests at the same time, and checking CM, so I'm reasonably confident that I got my days right.

I'm not sure I would rely on the one step opks, they don't seem to work too well for some people.

No, that's not positive. Hold for a few hours and test again this evening.

I always used the one step opks but this time round ttc I've swapped to easy@home (from amazon) which I prefer.
