EPO and delayed ovulation

Hi all

Just wondered if anyone else had experienced this... I’ve been taking EPO supplements, 3000mg every evening. Last month I took 1500mg with no issues but have been tracking for ovulation and haven’t received my high fertility reading yet - I would be expecting to ovulate either today or tomorrow in a normal cycle so would have expected peak most likely tomorrow. I’ve heard EPO can delay ovulation, is this true? Can it stop you ovulating all together? Just wondering if it is safe and/or sensible to keep taking it? DH and I are doing SMEP this month for first time and the more ovulation is delayed the more DTD we need to do and we are already getting a bit sick of it! Haha! Xx

Yes, I found that if I took a high dose it delayed my ovulation. I take 1000mg now up to the day before ovulation (I temp as well). But it definitely had an impact for me. Good luck x

Thanks for your reply @VenusStarr. How long did it delay ovulation by for you? X

I think it was about 3-4 days, but I thought it was the epo, so I dropped the dose to 1000mg about cd10 I think (it was a while ago). So if you're worried, maybe drop back down. X
