Hello all, I was wondering how long it took people to get pregnant after having nexplanon removed please? I had mine for 6 years (2 rods) and had it removed on January 18th, I know it wasn't that long ago but I'm so impatient haha! So was just wondering what others stories are about getting pregnant after nexplanon

I look forward to hearing from you Smile

I had mine removed. I went on the pill for a month and when I came off the pill i got pregnant immediately. I did not have period at any point between. I bought cheap ovulation sticks and did one everyday after coming off the pill.

Oh really? @Chocolateismakingmefat @pennysays

I'm really sad that I still haven't got pregnant yet, we do the BD regularly, but still nothing :'(

I had two implants fitted, so 6 years like you. I had the last one removed in December 2015 and didn't fall pregnant until October 2016. I didn't get my periods back until the March of 2016 either. After that I never had another fitted as I felt it messed with my fertility a bit so just used condoms (or my partner did). I had my daughter in 2019 after 3 months of TTC and am just under 4 weeks away from our 3rd baby being born, this one took less than a month to conceive.

@HaNNaHC92 oh god that's such a long time 😭 I'm not going to go back on the Implant again.

I'm praying to get my BFP soon, fingers crossed! Congratulations on your pregnancy though 😃

First time was within a week or two. I hadn’t had any periods for about 15 years as had back to back implants but first cycle after having it out I got pregnant. Second time it took 6 months but I was breastfeeding too. Good luck.

I know! It was a horrible time because it genuinely had me thinking can I even have children. But I do feel it had some impact on taking so long to conceive which is why I didn't have another one in. And as I thought, my next two pregnancies I've conceived quickly without any problem. Hope you get you BFP VERY SOON! x

Hello OP, I had mine out on 13 May 2020 and still TTC. Not sure it is anything to do with the implant though as lots of people seem to take almost a year to conceive so seems pretty normal. I have had a short luteal phase since coming off the implant though (but might have had this before too, I never tracked). Seeing a consultant about the short luteal phase.
