What's going on?!

I really hope someone can share their experiences or give me some advice...
I'm 30 (so is DP) and this is the 5th cycle of really TTC. Thrown everything at it this time round with some vitamins, opks, preseed lube etc etc. I have regular 27/28 day cycles and as far as I'm aware don't have PCOS or anything. I ovulated (or assume I did, as day after peak opk, on CD 14) On Tuesday (CD 22) I started with some light brown mucusy discharge on a couple of occasions when I went to the toilet and wiped, had the same again on Wednesday along with two spots of blood in my kickers. Thursday morning I had a mixture of brown and red blood again when I wiped so I assumed it was early AF so put a tampon in. Nothing on the tampon all day except a tiny bit of brown, same again Friday morning (CD25) , another tampon in again nothing on it hours later and nothing at all since then. I've gone back to some normal white CM. I really hoped it was maybe IB as if I added all the bits together I recon it would only be a pantyliners worth not my usual period flow but did a test and BFN (not first morning urine but it was a FRER so I assume if I was pregnant it would have shown at least a faint line) no cramps or anything PMS (or indeed pregnancy symptoms wise) Period should be due tomorrow or Monday at the latest. Anyone had any similar experiences? What was the outcome for you? Thank you!!

Do you monitor your temperature? If not I would recommend you start BBT monitoring as it gives you more clues as to what's going on. The ovulation tests are useful but they can't confirm that you've ovulated.

I'm 29, Cycle 9 TTC with cycle lengths 23-30 days. This cycle my temps did not raise much for 3 days after my peak (see chart), so I knew something wasn't quite right. I was already booked in for a Progesterone test this cycle, which came back 22.7. Should be over 30 for a successful ovulation. So I've ovulated but perhaps the corpus luteum hasn't developed properly. I'm now on my 2nd day of brown spotting, expecting period to show up anytime now.

So something similar could have happened with you, you might have had a 'weak' ovulation where things haven't quite worked properly, meaning you'll have a very light period. Progesterone raises your temp, so I knew something wasn't right as it didn't raise straight away.

Hoping someone can help I got a solid smiley on cb opk last Friday and positive cheap opk on the Saturday but since then I tried the cheap one again this morning and the line seems to be getting clearer every day
