Possible PCOS/hormone imbalance diagnosis

I've had a scan today of my ovaries and have no cysts which is great but doesn't explain why I rarely ovulate or have periods (1 or 2 a year). It looks as if its a hormone imbalance or some variant of PCOS. I'm lucky I have 2 dc already (one conceived with Clomid) however we would love another and want to conceive naturally. I'm not overweight but put on weight very easily so need to be extremely active in order to keep to a size 10/12. If I dont exercise the weight piles on. Does anyone have any advice on things I can try to encourage periods/ovulation. Sadly I had an mc in Jan and we weren't trying but was a lovely surprise and has now made me desperate for another baby. I would love a more regular cycle. Having looked online I maybe eat too many carbs? Willing to try anything!
