Preseed - what are your experiences?

I have never used lube but want to use preseed as it is meant to help with conceiving!

What are your experiences with it? Are you meant to use it when you begin foreplay or just before penetration? How much are you meant to use? I know it has applicators do you push the applicator up into the vagina then release some out? Sorry I have no clue about lube!

I used it a couple times after reading reviews but unfortunately it gave me BV! So no way I’d use it again . You put the applicator inside, like with a tampon. I think it’s up to you when to do it - I put it in myself quickly before we started doing anything!

Do you remember how many grams you used on the applicator and did the amount feel enough/too much? Sorry what is BV?

It's worked twice for me. One pregnancy, one chemical. I use about 1/1.5g and use the applicator just prior to dtd. It's basically the same as using an applicator tampon.

I like it because even if we're not particularly in the mood it serves a purpose. We are waaay past keeping the romance alive for TTC these days.

Thanks for your reply. So you put it up like a tampon then do you slowly release the preseed out of it as you take the applicator out? Lol there's no romance in the ttc period! X

I was going to buy some, but read it contains parabens- a chemical which is banned in many sunscreens. I also found articles about parabens, MC and felt it wasnt worth the risk. I 'assume' the levels must be low enough to qualify for internal usage though, but I couldn't find enough positive accounts to warrant the risk.

Total faff, no romance and didn't work! Had a night away bottle of wine and we got pregnant much better!

Didn't work for me and gave me a yeast infection 🥴.

Worked first time for us, no yeast infections here!

I didn't use preseed. But I used fertile check gel which is a cheaper version. Got pregnant first time twice using it. I tried conceive plus gel last month and nothing, so I've just used the fertile check gel this month.. I'll know in 10days if it's worked. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

No idea if it was the preseed but conceived both kids in the first month of trying so definitely got my money's worth ...

@Ttchelp1 BV is bacterial vaginosis - grim! I read lots of other stories of people having same issue after using (wish I read them before!) . Preseed messes with your pH which can cause this to happen.
