Implantation experiences

Hi, I’m probably not pregnant ( been ‘trying’ 14 years - quite literally!!) but a few days ago I had a weird poking feeling very low in my abdomen where my womb would be! ( exactly 1 week after ovulation) then today I’ve had pink discharge ( 3 days before period is due, and i always have my period 14 days after ovulation - for an infertile lady my cycles are always very regular!! so this is odd plus it was several hours ago and hasn’t turned into a period)

I have a 14 year old and two lovely adopted daughters so I’m not desperate to conceive. It would be amazing if I was after 14 years 😂

When you’ve not used contraception in 14 years you do occasionally symptom spot still! But I’ve never had “ implantation bleeding” ( if that’s even what it was!) or a poking feeling like that! Not even with my son.

But would the poking feeling and pink discharge happen together, not 3 days apart? The poking feeling lasted 2 days on and off.

I know my cycles quite well after 14 years and this is a first!

Lol. I never do tests ( I would after period is missed). After 14 years I don’t want the drama! We’ve had all sorts of fostering and adoption dramas!

Today we’ve been told we can be assessed to adopt the newborn sibling of our two girls 😂 so if I’m not then it doesn’t matter much as we could have a baby anyway. (Who was born in Feb) Will wait til Monday and see if period has come! Two birth kids and two adopted ones would be nice and even! But one birth and three adopted would be lovely too.

I said to my hubby I think I had implantation bleeding and that’s the ‘gold standard’ of symptom spotting. He laughed!

When I think I implanted with dd2 (but then who actually knows ha ha) I had a very sharp and intense one off cramp and then it went snd then I got my bfp about 3 days later, but then really this may have just been wind so 🤣 who ever knows xx

My implantation in all three of my pregnancies was identical

I had mild period type pains and sort of cramping from my lower stomach into my thighs every time, particularly at night. All implantation symptoms started about 4/5 days before my period was due

My first pregnancy was ivf so I symptom spotted like crazy. Second pregnancy was natural and 8 months after my first, I was convinced I was getting my period early but didn't think anything of it. Unfortunately I miscarried but, I had a natural conception which for me was amazing given we had a 3% chance according to doctors

Third pregnancy is so far successful, we were trying. I had the pains, I just knew I was pregnant as soon as I had the pains I was 100% sure and the next day I got the faintest of positives.

Mild cramping from lower abdomen into my thighs, enough to make me uncomfortable but not to need painkillers.

I never had any implantation bleeding, but that's a good sign though if you have!!

We have never used contraception in 17.5 years of marriage. We had our son 14.5 years ago ( so he took a while!) and nothing since! We were told we wouldn’t conceive.

Hubby count was 2 million ( back in 2005! Not tested it since!) and I’ve read 39 million is considered lowest amount to conceive ( we proved that wrong!!)

My cycles are like clockwork. However recently found endometriosis and a fibroid. But I found an article saying gluten can cause so many problems. So I gave up gluten! And this cycle is amazing! No back pain, breasts tender but not painful ( usually really really painful every single month), no tiredness, no PMS. So I honestly think gluten has been having huge effects! I’m also not bloated, no wind, no Tummy aches ( I’ve put up with those things my whole life).

If I was pregnant I’d be going round telling everyone to give up gluten! I’ve not even missed it. Bought gluten free bread and wraps, gluten free gravy etc and swapped cereal for fruit and yoghurt. I have more energy than ever. Quitting gluten has already changed me in only a month!

No period yet. Just odd I had that pink discharge! Not due period til Sunday and never had that before. Who knows.

Just persuaded social workers to let us be assessed for adopting our adopted daughters’ sibling and then found the pink stuff, lol. After the odd poking sort of feeling in my womb area a few days ago. Spotting for me only signals period within an hour or so. No period. And too early anyway. It would be funny if I was suddenly fertile aged almost 41 having not been Since 26! I’ll wait til Monday and see if period has come. If not, then adoption assessment number 3 ....

I mean if it does come! Wouldn’t do both!

Period came. Oh well.

Adoption number three, here we come!

Just hoping the spotting wasn’t anything bad!
