Hello,
My husband and I have started our IVF journey last November. We have our clinic in Spain. Were due to have the egg retrieval in December but then the travel ban hit and we had to postpone. Now that the travel ban is lifted we are to start again. Due to our age we can't wait around for too long. Looking at the entry restrictions in Spain it is unclear if we can attend a medical appointment and procedure. I have contacted various consulates in England, one of them said yes and another one sent me a link to the UK's Spanish Consulates website which actually doesn't clarify anything...
I wondered if anyone here is trying to do the same and have more information.

Hi there. We're looking at the same options. I've been speaking to Instituto Bernabeu and it looks like travel abroad for medical reasons is allowed. You just may have to do the 10 day hotel quarantine on return which is costly and less than ideal. We are waiting to see if Spain will be a green or red country when Boris does his next travel update.

My husband and I are also considering treatment in Spain after two unsuccessful rounds with our local clinic. I heard wonderful things about IVI Spain but was disappointed by their approach... I received a general email and a link to access the portal, which was unavailable after one week. I have since contacted the following clinics:

Clinica Tambre: I got a lovely personalised email and a phone call from them one day after contacting them;
UR Vistahermosa: Friendly staff on the phone, very patient and answered all my queries;
IVF Spain: Also friendly on the phone, but the first consultation must be face-to-face?

I haven't contacted Instituto Bernabeu or Institut Marquès, but also heard good things about both. Any opinions about the clinics above? Thank you for your feedback on them, and good luck in your treatment!

Hello @fabsco - may I know if you choose any of the above? I'm in your situation at the moment, so any insight can be helpful.

@Fabsco we used Instituto Bernabeau and fell pregnant. We now have 2x 9 month old twins!! Let me know if you'd like any insight or guidance! Good luck!!
