ight, so for the past six months weve been trying to concieve I had a withdrawal bleed straight after mycrogynon but nothing since, I was just about to phone my gp this morning as every test I do is negative, so was going to ask them if they could start to look into it as its driven me and my partner crazy, but decided to just do a quick ovulation test, all my past ones have been very faint which I know means im not ovulating then this morning this one I was shocked by as its the strongest I have had, I had lots of CM yesterday too the sticky long stretchy clear stuff so now Im thinking to hold on two more weeks to see what happens before I go to the gp! Please give me your advice and what you think...

Hi there,
When is your period due?
I also have been tracking ovulation with these. I had strong lines when I ovulated and then continued using them until it tailed off and there was basically no line.
I noticed the test line getting darker towards my period. I do think this can happen as it detects a hormone present before your period?
I haven't yet come on my period, however don't feel pregnant at the moment so it must be because I'm due on.

I have heard these can pick up the pregnancy hormone & people have confirmed a positive test after but the line would need to be as dark as the control line. I would get yourself a FRER test today to be sure. Best of luck! X

Also perhaps you might actually be ovulating later than you thought?

You might be about to ovulate or just ovulated. To get a peak the test line should be darker then the control line. Mine are like this the day before I get my peak.
However there is always LH in your body so having a line doesn't necessarily mean you're close to ovulation. From what I understand though is that if you have some LH in you then that's a good sign as the pill reduces LH.

Depending on how old you are I'd say after 6 months it's probably time to see your GP. I think that's the official guidance. My periods didn't come back for ages after stopping Microgynon, I went at 6 months, 12 etc... at the time I wasn't trying and I stopped the pill because I was having at the time what I though were bad side effects. My GP kept telling me that it can take up to two years for periods to come back.
In the end they finally tested the right hormones and I had hyperprolactemia which is easily fixed with tablets. If you tell your GP you're trying, they might be more inclined to check your hormones.

@FayLivvie

I havent had a period since I stopped the pill back in october other than obviously a breakthrough period, ive used a frer and its negative this morning but Ive never had such a strong opk along with a lot of cm last night, its so difficult to judge due to not having a period yet

You could be ovulating later. I was ovulating much later than my glow app suggested. It gets so confusing. If you have clear stretchy cm too that is another sign. Dtd around this time if you can X
