Hi I'm wondering if anyone has any insight or had a similar experience to me. We have been ttc since November for our first baby and for the last 3 months I haven't had signs of ovulation (significant rise in lh and rise in bbt) I've also had abnormally long cycles. However this month although super late I've seen a really strong surge in lh, a lot of ewcm and have been feeling really gassy (sorry tmi but I heard this is common during ovulation). I was just wondering whether it's likely that I have ovulated this month? I'm waiting to hear back about my irregular cycles but I think the referral to a gynaecologist is going to be months away. 🙈 I'm hoping I see a bbt rise tomorrow but can anyone else shed any insight? Thank you so much in advance.

lee0511 my cycles mysteriously stretched out as soon as I stopped contraceptives in feb. So while I’m used to 28-30 days I’m sitting at 35 days waiting for a period to arrive. It’s stressing me out in case there’s a reason for this and it feels such limbo being over 30 days and not pregnant but no period! One thing I didn’t realise was that ovulation is approx 2 weeks before the period start, I had been measuring 2 weeks from period start. Which worked for dc 1 & 2 on my old cycle but not now, so while there was dtd I probably wasn’t really trying during my fertile window the last couple of months. Just in case you didn’t know that re ovulation timing!

@timeisnotaline thank you! I've started testing my lh levels for longer now for that reason which is good because I think i may have missed the window last month by doing as you said starting to test 2 weeks from when my period started. I tested my bbt this morning and it's still low. It's so frustrating not knowing if I've ovulated or not :/

Congrats to all those ladies who’ve got their BFPs! So exciting for you

We were going to have another shot this month at ttc, but have decided to postpone our 2nd cycle to May - we’re getting married in September and I bought my dress yesterday, and it’s a very (VERY) fitted mermaid style, no way would I be able to get away with it at over 20 weeks At less than that I should be okay though hopefully! I really don’t want to miss more than this one cycle - I don’t mind a visible bump as long as the dress will fit around it!

Ladies who are ttc #2/3/etc, on previous pregnancies when did you find you had a sizeable (more than a little belly fat-sized) bump developing?

@TigerDaisy congratulations on your wedding! I'm currently trying for second so can't say from experience myself but friends who have had their 2nd or more has def had a bump a lot sooner. From 4+months. One of my friends had quite a big bump at 4 1/2 months. X

@TigerDaisy congratulations on your upcoming wedding, how exciting! I've no experience re bump etc, but one of my friends had to completely change dresses, she was further along by her wedding though so bump was quite pronounced!

@Sam8582 this is cycle number 6 for me, not had a single whiff of a BFP haha, you? I know right I struggle to keep up with everyone! Been following since the Feb bus it helps so much with trying to stay sane Atleast lol x

Hey, finally got my peak yesterday but still getting positives today, do you count 1dpo the day after your peak or last positive opk? My app is saying tomorrow I'm 1dpo x

@amyannx I think you ovulate 24-48hrs after your peak, if I remember rightly - the high LH is what triggers ovulation. Some people ovulate sooner after their peak, some later...

@Court2611 oh I feel like I'll be there at cycle 6 before I know it, not far behind you, cycle 3! You any good at holding out before testing? I'm going to try and wait until period due date this time! That's the hope anyway haha

@Sam8582 I’m terrible I always cave too early even when I know the outcome! I got a static smiley today tho which is right on track so I’m feeling hopeful for this time🤞🏻 I have 1 test left and I’ve hid it out of sight so I’m not tempted, deffo going to wait until I’m due this time. It’s soo hard resist haha

@amyannx I’d say that’s the most likely if you’re not temping or haven’t got any ovulation cramps to nail it down more clearly...
