Progesterone

Hi ladies,
I wanted to ask if any of you had to take progesterone when trying to get pregnant?
Backstory: we now had two miscarriages early on. Both showed an empty sac. The fertility clinic doctor told me to take progesterone in my lady parts nightly starting two days post ovulation. I track ovulation with easy@home sticks and premom app.
This was the first month taking it.
She said if you get pregnant keep taking it till week 8. If you're not, stop at 2 weeks.
We are not pregnant so I stopped at a 2 week post ovulation mark. This was 4 days ago.
However, my period still didn't come yet. I'm a bit nervous, so I wanted to reach out on the forum and see if you had experience with progesterone.
Does it delay your period from starting? Will that delay my ovulation for next month?
So many questions...
In case you're wondering why I didn't ask the doctor at the time. Honestly, I didn't know what to ask. She told me when to take it and how much. I kind of assumed that my period will come on its own even if I'm taking progesterone. Now due to covid it's impossible to get anyone on the line to get answers. I googled but nothing.
Please help if you have any info on this.
Am I worrying for nothing?

Hi,
I have used progesterone a fews times and yes it can delay your period. I have never had it delay my next ovulation but someone may come on and say differently.

@Vixyvix thanks for responding.
How soon after you stop taking it did your period come? I read somewhere it's 2-7 days but that sounds excessive as it's going to make my cycle about 35days. It's now been 4 days for me and I don't feel any period symptoms. :(

Mine was 4 days later than normal. My usual cycle length is 35 days anyway so it just made it longer than an already long cycle Sad I didn't get any period symptoms, it just started all of a sudden. I know it is frustrating waiting for it so you can get on with the next cycle.

@Vixyvix yes, so frustrating!! I guess I'm just going to wait for it. 😏
I wish they would make it more clear what to expect when asking you to take it so I don't sit and think something is wrong 😅
