Positive OPK while on Period

Okay, so I do not have regular cycles but I’ve been tested for PCOS and Endometriosis and both test came back negative. Endocrinologist thinks I have a disorder called HypoHypo (short name) which pretty means I struggle with ovulating.

I haven’t had a cycle in two months and I randomly started having brown blood about four days ago. The blood got pretty heavy to where I used a tampon, but it was never red blood or bright blood, it just looked super dark and even had small dark clots in it. TMI SORRY.

Since I started spotting I decided to take a OPK that I had in my closet just because and it came back positive. I was in complete shock because I have taken those test a handful of times and they’ve always been negative. I was confused to why I would get a positive opk while having all of this brown blood? I read online that it can pick up LH surge before the start of your cycle but I am already five days in with bleeding. I also read to take a pregnancy test, which I did and it was a bfn.

Can anyone relate to this? I have been cramping and I’ve had sore boobs, which I put down as period symptoms but now this positive opk is confusing me.
