Hi guys I went to the Dr the other day hoping to get my coil removed. She couldnt see or find the strings so has referred me for a scan. I know a year or so ago when I had a scan due to other issues it was there. Has anyone had a similar experience and if it is still there which I think it is how do they take it out? Thank in advance 😃 I'm already worried at 37 it will be hard for me to get pregnant with my 3rd.

I had the scan to check it was there and then got referred to get it removed under general anaesthetic

I had a scan and it was still there in the right place. When I went to get it removed the GP was able to do it. She said that they have some specific tools to help retrieve the strings. I think it depends on where the coil has gone as to how they'll get it out, but they should be able to give you a bit more info after you've had your scan. Hope it goes ok!

I had a scan and it was found and removed (pain free) with a little local anesthetic gel. Best mate had a scan, hers was seen but they decided to remove it under general instead (which was done successfully and without too much faff or pain).

Try not to worry. I know that's easier said than done (I completely freaked out), but actually it was all totally fine in the end.
