I am 31 years old. I have a son who is 2.5. Last year I had 2 miscarriages. My first miscarriage was in April 2020, the pregnancy ended in a natural miscarriage at 6 weeks.
After 6 months of trying we conceived again in October 2020. Sadly this also resulted in a miscarriage in December. This time it was a missed miscarriage and was medically managed at around 9 weeks. To say I was devastated is an understatement.
We decided to carry on trying, however after a few months with no BFP, I decided to go for some tests at a fertility clinic last week to see if they could find a reason for pregnancy losses.
To my shock my results came back as, AFC 9, AMH 2.5 (apparently very low for my age) and FSH 13 (apparently very high for my age).
The Dr at the clinic has stated I have a diminished ovarian reserve and suggested that I start IVF immediately if I hope to have another child using my own eggs. I am still in shock tbh and still trying to get my head around the results.
I am just hoping to hear some positive stories from anyone else who may have been in a similar situation and gone on to have a successful pregnancy, either naturally or through IVF?
