How Long Did You Try For/Have Been Trying For?

Curious as to how long everyone has been trying for/tried for?

We’re coming up to 2 years trying, had 4 chemicals then on cycle 10 got pregnant but was a blighted ovum, it was a very complicated mc with medical management and then 2 surgical managements. My AF then disappeared for 18 weeks. Cycles since have been 15 days, 22 days, 25 days, 30 days and last 45 days. Tests have been normal so far, except a progesterone test which was 27.6. I’m under recurrent miscarriage clinic but they’re closed now due to Covid.

I feel like need to take a break/try the au naturelle route but I’m 36 and feel as though time is just ticking away so trying not to try is really difficult and it’s something I really want. Do I wait until 37 and explore other options such as IVF? Also my cycles are pretty messed up at the moment and just can’t see it happening now.

Hiya op,

I have been trying for 15 cycles, which I'm at the end of (13dpo) so not as long as you. I did have a year before that before I was allowed to try due to medical reasons so it feels like forever. I've had bloods tests and I ovulated fine I think as progesterone was 46.5. Dh still has his sperm analysis to do but he has children already so it's unlikely to be him.

I have had no hint of a bfp at all. Which worries me. I was on the pill 14 years but my cycles came back regular straight away.

I have not had it hard at all compared to you, I'm so sorry for your losses.
Sometimes I think I need a break though, and wonder why I am causing myself this heartache. But then the rest of the time I'm trying to be positive, it's hard after so long though especially when you see others getting it so easily.
