Opk & bbt help

I usually use clear blue advance opk and also easy at home strips. Every month I usually get flashing smileys cd11 cd12 and cd13 followed by a static smiley on cd14. The easy at home also usually shows my peak around cd14 or 15 followed by a bbt rise on same day as peak.

This month I only had 2 clear blue opk left so thought I would save them until cd13. I did an easy at home strip yesterday which was really low as expected at cd11 but I woke up today with a bbt rise to 37 which is my usually temp a few days after ovulation. I decided to use a clear blue which showed an empty circle when I usually get a flashing smiley cd 12. Now I’m all confused, do you think I peaked and ovulated yesterday? I did have a drink last night, can that affect bbt?

I think it's unlikely you've ovulated already, alcohol can definitely increase temperature, although with me it normally takes a few drinks to raise temp. Unfortunately you'll have to wait and see what tomorrow's temp shows to get an answer, if it was due to alcohol or something else then it should come back down.

Thanks, that's what I thought but I'm panicking as we didn't dtd & usually I would have a flashing smiley today.

Keep doing the ovulation tests, with the Easy@home ones you can do 2 or 3 a day to make sure you catch the peak. CD11 is very early to ovulate, I reckon you'll get your peak in the next few days. If your temp does come back down tomorrow, you'll need to tell FF to disregard today's temperature, otherwise it will affect future analysis.

Hi @Annannanna I came across this thread because I'm confused about my own bbt this month and then I saw one of yours and it looks vaguely similar! I've attached a photo of mine. I've never had this sharp drop at 4pdo before (one of your charts above has this too) Too early for implantation, OPK showed my peak as shown on the axis so I think ovulation date is correct, and I'm fastidious about taking it at exactly the same time and conditions every day. What is the drop attributed to, do you know? Thanks in advance.

Hi, to be honest I think my bbt shot up after I had a drink at the weekend and then came right back down to where it should have been the following day as I usually have a slow steady rise.
Fingers crossed your dip is early implantation, looking at your chart it's possible you could have ovulated a day earlier, I always ovulate the same day as my peak x

If you have a look on fertility friend which is the app I use the track my bbt, there is a community section where you can look at loads of bbt charts and filter them for similar ones to yours. I find them really interesting! x
