Ovulation day

Hello! I am new. I was wondering if anyone could help me? I am TTC, my period was on the 4th and I am a 28 day cycle. Every website I use to work out ovulation is different. I am confused if I am 6dpo or 9dpo. I really want to have a baby but I just can't work this stuff out...

Hi @Edt555 It would be very difficult to pinpoint exactly without knowing how long your LP is, so for example you could have ovulated on CD 14, and have a 14 day LP. Or you could have ovulated on CD16, and have a 12 day LP. Did you record any other symptoms around the middle of the month that might point to an ovulation day?

I never did temping or ovulation tests. I went off an app I have and inseminated for 4 days around the time that I think I was ovulating. I usually guess with my ewcm. I have been noting my symptoms in the build up to my AF for the past couple of months and this month I have different symptoms however a test was negative. I know it may take a few tries but it is disheartening.

I'm afraid that apps only guess and we can't tell you when you ovulated either. The most common day to ovulate in a 28 day cycle is CD16 but honestly it could be any day from CD11 to CD19. To get a better idea you'd need to start tracking it with either opks or bbt.

Our cycle is the same, my last AF was the 4th too and I have a 28 day cycle. I had a positive OPK on CD 14 (so the 17th) so I'm guessing I ovulated just after that, my test the day after was a lot weaker. I have EWCM and pelvic aches around 4/5 days before ovulation so just be mindful that it doesn't signal ovulation day. I've spoken to others too that get EWCM up to a week before a positive OPK or BBT. Hope this helps!
