Faint positives for days

At 7dpo I started spotting pink then it turned red at 8dpo til 9/10dpo I'm now 14dpo (confirmed ov with opk and temp) and been getting super faint positives (almost shadows) since 9dpo so I'm pretty sure this can't be viable if I am/was pregnant. Had negative tests before 9dpo (I'm a poas addict! 🙈) usually blank white but been getting lines very faint but more than normal on several brands and different batches. I'm just so confused.

The drs are ringing me this morning but even if they do bloods I won't know anything for a few days.

This happened in December (more obvious lines and didn't bleed) and in feb (faint. Like this again also didn't bleed after went negative).
I am breastfeeding my 12 month old but she only feeds to sleep so not much and after the feb tests I had a blood test (they had gone negative) and my hcg level was below 1 so it can't be that my natural level is elevated
Pic of this mornings super faint line just because I feel like I'm going crazy :(

also please no comments if you can't see it there is definitely something there more so irl looking for advise on what could be causing it

What could be causing this?

Tia 💕

When is your period due? Test that day at the earliest. I can't believe the doctors will do anything before a missed period ? Fingers crossed for you, but this endless testing early isn't helpful.

firsttimemummy321 · 26/03/2021 18:34

@ohhmyown thank you. I'm due on today so tomorrow I will be officially late. I only tested early because of the unusual bleed and had the same symptoms I did with my first

Test once you're overdue with the first morning urine, otherwise the faint bits are just the colour difference the chemical in the test.

I struggled to get pregnant again until I stopped feeding all together when my DC was ages 2, I know some people do manage it, but I didn't.

Good luck 🤞

@timewilltellsontrushit
Thank you. I've done all these tests before when I wasn't pregnant and not even had a hint of a line so just going it odd that it's been persistent.

These were today. 16dpo 2 days late

Top 3 fmu (2 ics one is original one is edited/tweaked). Bottom one is smu 😩 still so faint and seem to dry lighter than they are at 3-5 mins

I can def see a line but it does seem odd that it’s not getting darker, but sometimes it just takes a while! My friend didn’t even get a positive until she was 8 days late! Def try and talk to your doc to get peace of mind and keep testing if you can bare it things might suddenly change! I just got a very very similar faint line at 12dpo and am pretty confused to know whether to be happy or try and not get my hopes up!

GreenSlide · 28/03/2021 19:41

Tonight's looks a bit darker than this morning I think 🤔

mrslewis2015 · 28/03/2021 19:46

That’s a good sign! Let’s hope they keep getting darker! 🥳

timewilltellsontrushit · 29/03/2021 12:49

I can't see anything sorry, if you tracked ovulation the maybe the egg didn't fertilise for a 4/5 after and if there is a line (you can see in real life) then you will get a normal positive 5 day late. Otherwise I'd say it a negative sorry, do you have period symptoms? When's 5 day over your period due date ?

AliBear90 · 29/03/2021 14:19

Have you tested since? It could be that the egg was later to implant and that’s why the lines aren’t darker yet. I hope it’s good news for you xx

@mrslewis2015 thank you 🤞🏻 hopefully if still the same on Friday the dr will see me

@GreenSlide after I posted it I did wonder that looking at them but still super faint 🙈

@timewilltellsontrushit thank you, there are definitely lines there on frer, one step and easy@home. Super faint though. I have a little one and multiple chemical pregnancies and this is different, had many negatives and there is definitely something on all of these. No period symptoms. Feeling nauseous like with my first. I will be 5 days late on Wednesday

@AliBear90 not heat I'm going to test tonight on a good hold or tomorrow morning 🤞🏻

Tbh I just want an answer I'm pretty sure this can't be successful now but just want either a blazing positive or negative so I can move on.

Those one step tests have pretty dreadful reviews with lots of people saying they are much less sensitive than they say and they didn't get a clear positive until well after a missed period. The first response is also faint though so I see your dilemma! To be honest, in my experience very faint / ambiguous tests at this stage always means a chemical pregnancy / false start. Are you temping -- what are your temps doing? If they are still really high I would be more optimistic.

timewilltellsontrushit · 29/03/2021 17:00

Oh not heard of a chemical pregnancy before. Fingers crossed 🤞
