Ttc#2 with a super long cycle

Hi just wondering if anyone's been through the same. My cycles are super long, currently on cd45 and it hasn't been uncommon for it to be 50 days long. It's really frustrating because I feel like finding ovulation is like a needle in a haystack. I did opks almost every day for 2 and half weeks (sometimes twice a day) this cycle and not a single positive/peak.

Now I've been spotting for 2 days and it's probably my period but my brain keeps trying to hold on to ~maybe it's implantation bleeding~ because I can't fathom the idea of having to go through another 40-50 day cycle totally blind to when I'm ovulation.

Hi, I had long and irregular cycles. Agnus castus helped me to get them a little shorter (it helps ovulation).
Do you check your cm? That would be my first step. Once you get fertile mucus use OPKs several times a day, otherwise it might be easy to miss your peak.

@NoCallerID thanks for the reply! I've really tried to keep an eye on my CM but I seem to struggle to tell the difference, I know it should look like egg whites but usually I'm just never sure if it does? I was trying to do opks twice a day but I work in an office so sometimes I only can do once in the evening after I've picked ds up from the childminders. I'll give agnus castus a Google and see if it's for me, thanks for the reccomendation ☺️
