Hi everyone! I’m new to this, TTC baby no 1 and hoping to get some support/advice. Warning it’s TMI.

I started spotting 7DPO, then 9DPO the spotting turning into what seemed like a early but extremely light AF visit (I’m usually heavy).

I took a first response the morning of 9DPO but when I noticed a small clot I lost hope didn’t examine the test like I usually do. 5-10 mins later I looked at the test again and saw a faint positive/evap line.

I then took a cheap sainsburys test on 10dpo which was negative, the light bleeding turned to spotting. Then a cheap boots test on 11dpo which was negative again, still spotting.

I’m now 12dpo and the spotting has stopped. Throughout I’ve been peeing much more frequently, areolas are swollen but not the nipples, slight increase in appetite and have had dizzy spells.

Can someone please tell me if they’ve experienced anything like this? Do you think I could be pregnant with the cheap tests showing negative? I’m losing my mind here!

I usually don’t read into these symptoms, I’ve never experienced anything like this in my TTC journey.

It's difficult to say, it can be either.
If I was you, I'd probably get another FRER. If the line on 9dpo was a positive line it should be darker now. 🤞🏼

You could be pregnant because some people don't show a positive until later on or at least until their predicted period or after. Give yourself a couple of days and test again. It may still be too early to tell. The not knowing is the worst part but either way there will be more clarity in a day or two x

If the FRER had a positive then you could still be pregnant. The cheapie from sainsburys was probably just not sensitive enough to pick it up. Test again with a FRER!

Thank you for responding

I don't have any stores near me that have FRER available at the moment, so a friend suggested taking one of my clear blue ovulation tests. It came back negative which is disappointing because I feel pregnant.

Maybe next month 🤞🏼

It's amazing how your body can produce so many symptoms when you're are trying for a baby. Last month I felt queasy every morning for a week straight, my boobs were sore, tired, I felt twinges - you name it! and I was a day late - I was so disappointed but I'm trying not to stress this month as it's already determined whether
I'm pregnant or not at this point I just need to accept it if AF comes and move on to the next month! Although quietly hoping 🤞 xx Best of luck

@Amymart FWIW, I've never had a positive OPK when pregnant. (I've been pregnant 6 times....) so I wouldn't give much about this.

Amymart · 25/03/2021 18:38

@FayLivvie there’s nothing wrong with hoping! I was the same this month, told myself I won’t stress and it happens then great or get ready for next month. Then came the early AF/spotting and changed everything.

I hope you get a BFP very soon ❤️

@NoCallerID this is really helpful! I’ve heard of people getting positive ovulation tests so went with that.

I have experienced a short lived pregnancy before and feel the same as I did then. Especially when my bladder is full lol

I‘m going to hunt for a FRER this weekend and put it all to rest

Ah thank you. Here's hoping it doesn't take too long it's all consuming isn't it. Best of luck and fingers crossed for a positive x

@FayLivvie @NoCallerID

Omg update! So I managed to go 3 hours without peeing and took another ovulation test and I’ve got a flashing smile! It’s the purple clear blue test.

New emotions flooding through now! Oh gosh 😱

I’m either pregnant or ovulating again despite only ovulating 12 days ago 😅

Woohoo!!! You need to get an actual pregnancy test ASAP. This is promising 🎉

FayLivvie · 27/03/2021 09:18

How did you get on? @Amymart

Amymart · 29/03/2021 23:47

Sorry I’ve been MIA dealing with emotions from mixed results.

I went to see my doctor over the weekend who did a test which turned out to be a BFN. It was emotional since I felt super pregnant. Hubby convinced me to take another test today and I got another faint positive. It’s still a little unclear but I’m hopeful since af is 1 day late.

How are you getting on? X
