Morning all! I’m CD8 so pretty much at my FW. OH is ready, and I have my supplies of preseed and pineapple in!🙃
@Geriatric1234 and @Bombshell85, I’ve found it so hard finding the motivation to exercise during lockdown!!

Loladoodle · 06/04/2021 10:08

@MgW1 will be giving the Maca a miss- OH is already a randy sex pest 😂 can you imagine 🤯 would be unbearable! I find straight after af I am up for it but not long after ovulation I go off dtd in the 2ww then get interested again just before af arrives (like a day or two before). Definitely hormone related as it’s the same every month even when not ttc!

This month we dtd too early and too late due to a stressful/busy week during fw. The only way we could get lucky is if he has super sperm that has hung around for almost a week (unrealistic given we are cycle 14)or if I’ve ov late which I doubt!

Loladoodle · 06/04/2021 10:12

@Geriatric1234 interested in what you are saying re ibuprofen? I have to take strong painkillers first couple of days of af as it’s so painful- couldn’t get through a working day without them tbh. Is ibuprofen bad for ttc if taken for 2 days each cycle do you think?

Misty84 · 06/04/2021 10:21

@Loladoodle That’s so similar to me! I’m up for it straight after AF, fertile week fine although it gets a bit tiresome by the end, tww I’m not interested at all!

Marvellouslymadmum · 06/04/2021 10:21

Morning all, I've got my oh on maca root but it's only 500mg think I may have to up his dose! He's always up for it right after af but runs out of steam right around ov day so sometimes we only do it before or on that day! 11dpo and finding this month a difficult one!

Bombshell85 · 06/04/2021 10:38

How long has everyone been ttc? Thus is month 5 for me! Trying to loose the weight to but im a comfort eater 🤷🏼‍♀️. Can i spike my oh with maco? 🤣🤣

Marvellouslymadmum · 06/04/2021 11:00

@Bombshell85 3 years ttc for me. I'm really struggling to lose weight yet I eat fairly healthily and I'm exercising! My body hates me apparently

Geriatric1234 · 06/04/2021 11:13

@Loladoodle I couldn’t tell you whether that little will have an impact, but my fertility midwife said to completely avoid ibuprofen and swap to over-the-counter codeine. Ibuprofen is an NSAID and those drugs impact your cycle and specifically they impair uterus lining. There are loads of studies linking ibuprofen use to MCs.

I’m the same with AF FYI and codeine was arguably better, low dose, used with heat pads. X
@MgW1 I meant me! Lol Love a bit of sex-pesting now and again 😜
🤣🤣🤣🤣 This really made me laugh.

Hi newbies

MgW1 · 06/04/2021 11:36

@Bombshell85
Yes you probably could because you can open the capsules and add them to smooties.
We have neen trying 12 months and had 3 mc's 😔 , it has started to feel like a chore so hopefully we can spice things up now hes on these pills 🤷‍♀️ x

MgW1 · 06/04/2021 11:41

@Marvellouslymadmum
I ordered mine 4000mg from amazon. Defo give it a try x

Lalala1985 · 06/04/2021 12:06

@Bombshell85 I'm only on my 2nd cycle properly trying TTC. Haven't been on contraception for about 10 years though. Didn't have periods for 3 yes as I had undiagnosed hyperprolactenemia, then for a few year we just just avoided my fertile time, then for the last 2-3 years we just stopped caring but I think we rarely hit those few days around ovulation.

Marvellouslymadmum · 06/04/2021 12:11

@MgW1 off to Amazon I gooooooo

Loladoodle · 06/04/2021 12:11

@Geriatric1234 my pain is so bad first two days that I actually take nsaids with codeine otherwise it doesn’t even touch the edges of the pain. 🙁 doubt I could reduce it any further as I do try to grin and bear it as much as possible!

Geriatric1234 · 06/04/2021 12:14

@Loladoodle I was the same, I found 4 weeks of acupuncture really, REALLY helped. But I was so bad they assumed I had endo/fibroids but nothing. Really the only thing that helped was the acupuncture.

Misty84 · 06/04/2021 12:19

@Bombshell85 I’ve been trying for nearly 2 years. Not even a hint of a BFP.

Loladoodle · 06/04/2021 13:13

@Geriatric1234 wow really?! How much acupuncture helped? I am def up for trying it!

Geriatric1234 · 06/04/2021 13:22

@Loladoodle I did 4 sessions with a Western trained acupuncturist @£55 each session. First thing that’s worked in 20 years! But I know not everyone here has gotten along with it!

DNpink82 · 06/04/2021 13:50

Oohhh I was thinking about trying some acupuncture, I'm gonna have a look to see if I can find any in my area. I used to take naproxen regularly for pain relief but since ttc I've stopped taking it expect for when AF is here or I really need it but I definitely limit how much/often I take it

Loladoodle · 06/04/2021 14:17

@Geriatric1234 4 sessions in total has helped the pain every month? Or do you need to keep doing it each month? I’d be prepared to pay that tbh to get rid of the pain! Sounds worth a look thanks 🙏

Geriatric1234 · 06/04/2021 14:30

@dn@DNpink82@Loladoodle yep - 4 sessions total! He said any acupuncturist who suggests ongoing sessions is probably just not doing it correctly! You can have top-up sessions, but shouldn’t be every month, maybe once every 6-12. Try and get a recommendation from a friend too, as it’s a mixed bag.

Noodella18 · 06/04/2021 14:45

@Bombshell85 when I conceived my daughter I was stealth-dosing my partner with maca by baking it into banana cake...!

Bombshell85 · 06/04/2021 14:56

Haha you ladies are great! ❤❤ now baking it into a banana cake! Thats an idea!!
Im going to order some today!

Yes ive heard of all the ibuprofen stuff it is an anti inflammatory so will reduce womb lining :/ im on naproxen, pregabalin and dihydrocodine so its going to be tough. I try stop taking the naproxen from ovulation window till af comes. We can only do our best.

Bombshell85 · 06/04/2021 14:58

Unfortunately acupuncture didnt work for me :(

JessWi · 06/04/2021 17:00

Ooh I’ve got acupuncture booked for the 13th, very excited!

AF was due today, no sign of her yet.... 👀
