@Noodella18 that’s a lot of running, impressive stuff!

Marvellouslymadmum · 31/03/2021 20:30

@thislittlebird that's what I'm not sure of, I guess I'll have to start looking into all that now and see what I can do next. I just know that if I go to a fertility clinic they're going to want all the tests to be paid for first then probably send me straight toward ivf because of my age!

Katiekattty · 31/03/2021 20:56

Well I’ve started spotting today so I know I’m out for this month. I’m going to make a proper effort to start losing weight and get back into my exercise routine.

lemonade83 · 31/03/2021 21:13

@noodella18 @kittykattty

Thats a shame you are both out also. :-(
Fx for someone to get a bfp this month.

I am in cycle 5 this time so getting close to point of going to doctor (will wait another 2 cycles) and dreading the tests...im a head in sand type of gal! I think amc is a bit unreliable?

lemonade83 · 31/03/2021 21:16

@marvellouslymadman

Sorry to hear about that long wait. Id go for it if you can...it would be hard to wait until Nov? Happy belated birthday btw!

TTCat39 · 31/03/2021 21:39

@Noodella18 Thank you. I feel like I'm grieving without actually knowing the full story. I just can't help it.
@Kitekat81 We have only been trying for 6 months, so we're new to this really. But our ages made me seek help from the GP as soon as I could. We will keep trying, but I have to admit I don't think I'll be able to separate these feelings when it comes to dtd and I'm likely to become a weepy weirdo at precisely the wrong time.
I would absolutely love to be pregnant with twins. Love to you and @Misty84, as the newest reluctant member of your crew. xx

Katiekattty · 31/03/2021 21:51

Those who take ubiquinol where are you buying it from?

Misty84 · 31/03/2021 22:04

@TTCat39 I’m so sorry to hear it, I found out about my low AMH a week ago and have felt panicked and sick ever since, despite my best efforts to stay hopeful. There’s been A LOT of breaking down weeping.
The NHS won’t treat me so we are going private ASAP. I’ve done nothing but research since last week and we are organising a consultation with the Lister in Chelsea. It’s all eye-wateringly expensive of course but we have to try.
Yes you can improve egg quality so I would make that a priority.

Misty84 · 31/03/2021 22:07

@Katiekattty I get my Ubiquinol from Woods Health supplements, they have a 3 for 2 offer at the moment.

Misty84 · 31/03/2021 22:09

@TTCat39 Oh and as someone else said it doesn’t mean it’s impossible, as long as you’re ovulating and releasing that one egg (it only takes one!) then it can still happen naturally. But we’ve been trying for 21 months and need some proper help now rather than months and months waiting between tests and appointments on the NHS.

Marvellouslymadmum · 31/03/2021 22:13

@lemonade83 thank you, I'm going to have to start getting some done privately I think and then see where we are after that!

@Katiekattty I got my ubiquinol from Amazon

wj82 · 31/03/2021 22:25

@TTCat39

I did a fertility mot and the doctor who was reluctant to recommend any supplement recommended coq10- i read up on it and it seems promising.

Do read the book - the author had diminishing ovarian reserve but she did a bunch of changes + supplement. Per the book she broke the record of the number of eggs retrieved and all of them made it to blastocyst (ready for transfer).

It's not the dead end. You only need one egg and it seems like egg quality can be improved. It doesn't age like we do...eggs go through major transformation within 3-4 months prior to ovulation so you can still fix it (or at least the book says so ). She's a scientist and did back it up with research.

wj82 · 31/03/2021 22:27

@TTCat39

And if you are not on any prenatal vitamins yet, start now. Your partner needs that too.

I started with pregnacare because it seems to be the most popular but switched to the ovum after reading more and more. Find one that suits you and start asap.

TTCat39 · 31/03/2021 22:34

Thanks @wj82 I've ordered the book. I started out TTC on Pregnacare, but it always seemed to be sold out in my local pharmacy and supermarkets, so I switched to seven seas pre-conception last month. My husband is on Wellman conception. I also took a high dose of vit C for a couple of months, as I was concerned about my short cycles (22-26 days) and read it might help. I've since got some experience with OPKs and realised I ovulate quite early in my cycle and get about a 12/13/14 day luteal phase, which would otherwise be ample. So I stopped taking the extra vit C.

Feanorous · 01/04/2021 08:44

9dpo and a BFN! 😢

I know it's still early, just feeling like it's not the month!

Twelvestars · 01/04/2021 08:48

@Feanorous which test did you use?

Feanorous · 01/04/2021 08:51
@Feanorous which test did you use?
FRER and an easy@home strip. Not even a hint of a line...

JessWi · 01/04/2021 09:03

@Feanorous I have no idea what I’m talking about but that sounds very early to be testing?? X

Feanorous · 01/04/2021 09:15
@Feanorous I have no idea what I’m talking about but that sounds very early to be testing?? X
It is...when I was pregnant last time I got a BFP at 9/10dpo so I just thought I'd give it a go :)

Kitekat81 · 01/04/2021 09:17

@Feanorous most people implant on 8, 9 or 10dpo, and a pregnancy test won't pick up hcg until 2 days after implantation, so 9dpo is early to test. You're not out yet!

I on the other hand am 12dpo today, another temp drop this morning so looks like I'm out and af will arrive tomorrow. Oh well.

Misty84 · 01/04/2021 09:41

@Kitekat81 how long does your thermometer last? Mine is out of battery after 1.5 months of using, not sure if that’s normal or I bought a cheapie dud?!

Just on my way to redo AMH, Oestradiol, LH and FSH on the NHS so I have up to date results for the private clinic consultation...

wj82 · 01/04/2021 09:42

@Kitekat81
It's probably good not to test too early. It's hard for me to practice but I am trying to tell myself if it's gonna happen it will. Testing earlier or later won't change that.

Kitekat81 · 01/04/2021 10:16

@Misty84 oh no that's rubbish! I've been using the same one for a year, still going strong! Mine was just a cheapie £9.99 from amazon so wasn't expecting it to last.

Good luck with your blood tests! I am actually quite excited about my ivf appointments now. Obviously I'm not excited about spending all that money, doing all the injections and generally putting ourselves through all that. But I do feel like we are ready for the next stage now and just want to feel like we are moving forward.

Feanorous · 01/04/2021 10:38

I think I need to start temping. I got a thermometer but I am not sure I can because I have a really bad compressed nerve in my back that just gets worse when I sleep. So from around 4am I am usually tossing and turning and waking up constantly. You need to have a few hours of uninterrupted sleep right?

M4v3r1ck · 01/04/2021 11:23

Morning ladies!

@TTCat39 sorry to read your news! Sending you so much love! 😘😘😘

@Marvellouslymadmum urgh that's a stupidly long time! 😳

@Noodella18 ooooft well done lady! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I'm with @lemonade83 much prefer walking!

Booo to the BFNs etc! That's me out too! 😭😭😭 Third day temp drop and looks like the start of my period today! It was a 29-day cycle and I approx ovulated on CD15, so that's good news! I'm feeling upset though today as I keep seeing pregnancy announcements and new babies everywhere!!! 😭😭😭

Gonna have a wee wobble today then overindulge in champagne and cake this long weekend!!!!
