Clearblue Advanced OPKs worth it?

We have been TTC baby #1 for the past 10 months but no joy as yet :/

I am using the Femometer app and have also tried their own brand ovulation sticks but I’m struggling to pinpoint ovulation because of irregular cycles (I think).

Are CB advanced OPKs worth the extra cash if they test for an additional hormone?

Nope. I used them for months and spent an absolute fortune. Both times I fell pregnant I was using cheapies from Amazon. I peed on them 3/4 times a day and never missed my surge because of this.

@Jellybean792 for me they were worth it. I have a 28 day cycle and seemed to ovulate day 19 which was unexpected. I used the fermometer sticks and could never quite pinpoint it. I decided to switch to clearblue and that's how I discovered it was day 19. I found them clear and easy. For me it bought peace of mind which I can't put a price on. The biggest game changer however was taking my temperature it just helped confirm ovulation.
I am grateful in that I only used clear blue for 3 months and took bbt for one month before I got a positive. Maybe I would feel different if it was more months and then more costly. But as it stands the clarity of a smiley face Vs analysis of the lines was just more pleasant for me.

I recently bought some of the slightly more basic CB OPKs, the pink version- they don't have the flashing smileys (always thought these were a bit pointless anyway). I like that they are straightforward rather than staring at lines on tiny little strips. I got a pack of 20 for about £26 so I guess these will last 3/4 cycles so not too expensive.

I ovulate early in my cycle so for me it is definitely worth using OPKs rather than relying on apps.
