🙋🏻‍♀️ Hi! Taking the relaxed approach this time, hence why I'm commenting on a symptom spotting 1DPO post 😅

relaxedapproach1 · 22/03/2021 12:50

We've all been there hence my username. 😂 How many DPO are you?

OP posts:
NoCallerID · 22/03/2021 13:01

Hahaha 1 I think. Didn't temp this month. I'll be testing from 8dpo due to my history.

relaxedapproach1 · 22/03/2021 14:32

@NoCallerID how long have you been ttc? I will be trying to hold off as long as possible, but we'll see how long that lasts. 😅

Good question 🤣 We conceive very easily but have had a TFMR last year, complications resulted in an infection which caused 4 early losses. So I'm pretty used to finding out that I'm pregnant but I also know it doesn't mean I'll stay pregnant. Yet, we have good reason to hope that the issues have been resolved and that the next pregnancy will stick. I wish I could just wait and see it AF arrived or not but I need to keep testing in order to know whether an egg has been fertilised at all before I start bleeding (if I start bleeding), so I know whether the treatment has worked or not. Sorry, don't want to dampen anyone's mood or scare anyone.
How about you? Ttc for long? No 1? We have a 2.5yo.

relaxedapproach1 · 22/03/2021 15:50

@NoCallerID you didn't dampen anything! I'm so sorry for your losses. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.🤞🏼We haven't been trying, but we also haven't been preventing for awhile now. I just have a strong feeling about this month, but I don't want to get my hopes up like I have in the passed. We will see what happens!

NoCallerID · 23/03/2021 11:05

@relaxedapproach1 that's a good way of doing it! 🤞🏼

Katiekattty · 23/03/2021 11:32

I’m 4dpo but I will not test early. If I say it enough times I might listen to myself. I promised I wouldn’t symptom spot either but I watch trash tv while I’m cleaning and decided to tear up while watching Married at First Sight.

relaxedapproach1 · 23/03/2021 12:25

Welcome @Katiekattty! It's next to impossible not to symptom spot. How long have you been ttc?

OP posts:
Katiekattty · 23/03/2021 23:46

@relaxedapproach1 we’ve only been trying for two months. I just want this week to hurry up and finish.

relaxedapproach1 · 25/03/2021 11:50

@NoCallerID @Katiekattty how's everyone feeling?

OP posts:
NoCallerID · 25/03/2021 12:19

All good here, thanks. Nothing out of the ordinary but getting twitching fingers wanting to get FRERs 😅 how are you?

Katiekattty · 25/03/2021 13:43

I’m good, my heart rate is slightly up and I’m wondering if today I have BBT dip because I’m cold whereas I’ve been hot like every day since ovulation. I’m still holding strong refusing to by a test until payday.

relaxedapproach1 · 25/03/2021 13:52

@NoCallerID time is going so slow! Keep us updated when you start testing.🤞🏼

@Katiekattty this may be a stupid question, but how does BBT work after ovulation?

Also Is 4DPO too early to start symptom spotting 👀

OP posts:
Katiekattty · 25/03/2021 14:00

@relaxedapproach1i’m not the one to ask. I saw someone mention it on a different thread. I googled it and apparently sometime mid 14dpo you’re BBT is supposed to drop or something like that. ‘Clutching at straws’ 🥴

NoCallerID · 25/03/2021 14:04

I'll probably start on Monday when I'm 8dpo. I hope I can keep it low key and use easy @ home cheapies which I find almost as sensitive as FRERs. The amount of money I've spent on them over the last year would be a lovely weekend away. But I've recently seen that a local pharmacy stocks them at a good price so if need be I'll go there rather than bulk ordering.

@Katiekattty could be, sometimes even changes in weather or bedroom temp can make a difference but as long as you're above the cover line it'll be fine.

@relaxedapproach1 BBT is really only useful for after ovulation. The day after ovulation you get a raised temperature a certain amount higher than your previous 6 temps. You need another 2 days of around the same (certain amount higher than the last 6, so 3 in total) and this confirms that ovulation has happened. It's the only way to actually confirm other than ultrasound.
Your temperature is supposed to stay elevated all throughout your luteal phase and then drop again just before or after you get your period. I think it it stays up for 16 days you can most likely confirm pregnancy without a HPT. Some women get drastic dips in their LP temps, some think this can be due to implantation, others think it just happens randomly. I've never had an implantation dip but I'm not temping at the moment because it would stress me out a bit too much. I love it though.

relaxedapproach1 · 26/03/2021 12:52

@NoCallerID do you usually test with your ovulation strips up until your BFP or AF arrives?

OP posts:
NoCallerID · 26/03/2021 13:00

No, I use FRERs and easy @ home pregnancy strips from 8dpo. OPKs don't show if I'm pregnant, I know it works for some women though....

relaxedapproach1 · 26/03/2021 13:02

@NoCallerID that's really good to know! I've always been so curious if it only happens to some and not others. How are you feeling today?

OP posts:
NoCallerID · 26/03/2021 14:24

@relaxedapproach1 I still sometimes do OPKs to relief my POAS addiction but I know it's just a wasted strip then 😅
I'm good! My friend asked me how many pregnancy tests I've done yet 🤣 I told her I was only 5dpo today and will let her know on Monday. I feel a couple of twinges here and there and am obviously symptom spotting now but to be honest, I still get them pre period and there's literally no way of knowing yet.
How are you?

relaxedapproach1 · 26/03/2021 19:31

@NoCallerID I feel pretty normal! I have been having a bit extra discharge and it was kinda abnormal today (sorry tmi) but other than that nothing exciting. When do you usually get your BFP?

OP posts:
relaxedapproach1 · 26/03/2021 19:53

@Katiekattty how are you feeling?

OP posts:
Katiekattty · 26/03/2021 20:35

@relaxedapproach1no symptoms and feeling good. Not sure anything happened this month.

Katiekattty · 27/03/2021 10:15

@relaxedapproach1 how are you feeling? If AF is going to come I should start spotting in the next couple days. I’m going to do Frer on Monday I think.

relaxedapproach1 · 27/03/2021 14:44

@Katiekattty when is AF due? I feel pretty good, no symptoms I don't think.
