Morning,

Thank you @Jujujuberry, hope you’re ok today. I slept a bit better last night but the MC is still the first thing on my mind when I wake up, hoping with time it’ll get easier.

I think you’re right, @AlbiMix, it’s almost like there are two things to worry about. The MC is bad enough but then all of the added pressure of TTC again makes it even harder to deal with. Off to meet my newborn niece this weekend and not sure how I’ll keep it together.

@Mellous, I’m the same. Conceived pretty much straight away before the MC and now it’s not happening. Deep down I know I’m being ridiculous as it can take time but I totally get what you mean, it’s hard not to feel deflated about the whole process.

We were quite lucky (if that’s the right word to use) as our GP did lots of tests following the MC and they’ve all come back ok so far so hopefully moving forward we might get a better outcome if we do conceive again. I know that some areas don’t do tests but our GP was great and requested them from the EPU and they did them, she said there’s no harm in trying.

Jujujuberry · 09/04/2021 10:24

@Mellous your allowed to be a negative nancy!! I know how you feel, we were the same. Took us 2months first time, then 8months second time. It seems so unfair to finally get pregnant then have it taken away. But you’ve done everything you can for this month, and now its time to relax and let the positive energy flow! Try and distract your mind by doing things you love ❤️

Jujujuberry · 09/04/2021 10:29

Hey @MSK1 yes I’m the same, I wake up and then feel so depressed as its all I think of too. I’m trying to throw myself into work lately and just keep busy. Happy its Friday though, we are moving house next weekend so I am actually looking forward to packing and getting prepared for the move. Have you tried to think of 3 things your grateful for as soon as you wake up, to try and overrule the sad feelings ? Xx

MSK1 · 09/04/2021 12:06

Hi @Jujujuberry, that’s a good idea I’ll give it a go tomorrow. Off out for some fresh air in a minute, hoping it’ll cheer me up a bit.

CD3 for me now, looks like there are some others around the same date too. It’ll be nice to have people to chat with through this cycle.

MSK1 · 09/04/2021 12:07

@Jujujuberry and also I forgot to add, good luck with the packing and house move. How exciting!

MeganN91 · 09/04/2021 15:07

@AlbiMix

Hey *@MeganN91* I don't think there's no chance if you DTD within a few days of ovulating even if you didn't on the day of the surge, as sperm can survive for a few days, but I think there are others on this thread with more TTC knowledge who I'm sure can advise!

But it is absolutely not daft to be struggling and feeling down, it's absolutely normal and totally expected. I think the reason any of us are on these support threads is that we are all struggling, or have struggled, because of our MCs. However and whenever it happens, it's a traumatic experience with do many complex emotions attached to it. Please don't feel bad for not being ok about it, I struggle every day thinking about my MC and my future TTC prospects.

Be kind to yourself and remember we all understand how you feel.

I know. Maybe there is a good chance. I just felt bad because I felt mad at my partner for not being able to do it on the surge day. And I know it's stupid but I was angry. I just need to calm down.

It's just something that will always break my heart I think , it's just been a rough ride from ttc since December 2019 and then losing baby in January 2021. It's just exhausting. X

MeganN91 · 09/04/2021 15:08
@MeganN91 I think I read that sperm can live in the womens body for up to 5 days, I think your still in with a good chance.

How is everyone doing this morning? AF is due tomorrow or sunday but this morning all my cramping and lower back ache seems to have eased alot. Last night I was asleep by 9.30 which I'm shocked normally I'm tossing and turning till about 12 but I was wrecked
Yeah I've read that too. I'm just panicking and not relaxing about it at all. Thanks for replying. And good luck to you x

Neady1980 · 09/04/2021 15:28

@MeganN91 when I got pregnant in December we only DTD once and I wasnt even tracking anything. Last month I ovulated earlier than expected and DTD 3 days before I ovulated. I'll be testing tomorrow if AF doesnt show. I done a cheapie test a couple of days ago and got the faintest line, I think it's an indent but my friend is convinced its positive. I've had lower cramps and back yesterday and the day before but today they seemed to have eased. Try and think positive, I know it's tough but your not out till AF arrives x

EsseKey · 09/04/2021 15:35

Ladies I need your eyes please! So I thought I just threw away the opk strip that i did on Monday, which was the only one that looked like a positive, or at least borderline. Now I was just scrolling my photo gallery and I found out that I actually took a picture of the test that day, so i uploaded it on premom app and it looks like this (it's the first one from the top). What do you think?

@MeganN91 you're definitely in with a shout. The % chance day before ovulation is 33% and day before they around 24%. So as long as you ovulated on the day of your surge you still have a 24% chance!

@Neady1980 I can't believe you haven't caved!! Will be thinking of you tomorrow

Happy Friday ladies!!! 🍷

@EsseKey compared to your others thats definitely much darker. You could well have surged that day and missed your peak!

Neady1980 · 09/04/2021 15:48

@AMS19 believe me its driving me mad. I keep running to the loo thinking AF has arrived. I do have one of the cheapie tests left that my friend gave me but I dont know if I can trust them. I'm constantly thinking of it 🤣🤣🤣🤣

EsseKey · 09/04/2021 15:51

@AMS19 thanks! I have tested a few hours later though and it was definitely negative (but didn't take a picture). That's puzzling me...

we dtd anyway but it's just so weird to see these results! I guess it's just post mc hormones that still need to adjust maybe...

AMS19 · 09/04/2021 15:53

@Neady1980 I'll be very excited to check for your update tomorrow. Have everything crossed!!

@EsseKey it is hard if you don't bbt track to be sure so I'd say keep testing once a day just in case

also, I didn't take the pictures (so stupid), but the days before that "peak", the test lines were much darker than the ones that I have recorded afterwards, which are basically invisible! so maybe something was happening...
or maybe I am just trying to convince myself Blush.
I guess I am doing my own 2ww now to see if AF (or else?I don't dare to hope) arrives, confirming that was my peak.

EsseKey · 09/04/2021 15:57

@AMS19 I am not bbt tracking, maybe I should but I felt it was a bit too much and not very precise? what's your experience with that?
And also I am not sure how to do it properly, if you have any suggestions I take them! :)

TheDaydreamBelievers · 09/04/2021 16:07

Hello all, Im back in the TTC game - APS testing came back negative. Also checked B12, folic levels and thyroid and all were perfect. Means the late MC remains unexplained, but good to get the all clear.

AMS19 · 09/04/2021 16:11

@essekey bbt is the only way to know you've definitely ovulated. If you only get one peak per cycle, and that is around 2 weeks before your period, you can be confident when you're ovulating so don't really need to track. But if you aren't sure when you ovulate or get more than one surge/peak it can really help. It can be quite intense doing it the whole way through your cycle everydsy, but really you only need to track a few days before you think you might ovulate and a few days after to see the temp shift and confirm it. I like doing it because if gives me reassurance I've actually ovulated which the OPKs can't do.

You just need a base thermometer (one to 2dp) and to take your temp as soon as you wake up at the same time each morning. Then input them into premom which you already have. If your temp starts to rise after a lh surge, you know you've ovulated. This is my chart from this cycle where you can see I definitely ovulated after my surge because my temp has gone up since!

@AMS19 thanks! I think it might be useful if I start doing that...
I used to have very precise cycles and LH surge so I was quite confident on my ovulation time, but now I don't know how it will be after mc...I'll think about it! thanks again

Thank you. You've definitely made me feel a lot more positive . I think I just woke up feeling a bit emotional. Felt a lot better as the day has gone on. Thank you x
