I used to be on the depo for years but after stopping that over a year ago and not having any birth control I decided to go back into the pill. I have been given desogestral and am on day 45 of taking it.

My period wasn’t due until about 10 days but the last couple of days I have been spotting and then this morning i came on properly.

Anyone else had trouble with irregular periods? Did they calm down after a while?

Not sure whether I should call my doctor and ask for a different pill or to carry on trying it.

It can make them irregular to start with.
Desogestrel (cerazette) stopped my periods for a few years apart from the odd bout of spotting
