“When is #2 coming?” IM F****** TRYING.

I’m 24 and healthy. It took 7 months to conceive DD, which was painful as I’ve always been conditioned to think unprotected sex>baby and that it requires no effort at all.

We’ve been trying for #2 for a few months now and again, I naively thought that having DD a year ago would mean I’d be semi-super-fertile now. However, still not happening, still not pregnant. Getting sick of people assuming odd just get up the duff and pop one out when I want to.

Sorry got the rent but I’ve just seen a “we’ve only been trying one month and I’ve got my BFP” which has made me greener than green with envy.

@LifesLittleDeciders I don't have much advice to offer other than ignore the comments!
My son is 9 and I decided I wanted a bit of a gap between him and another one but never did plans for this much of a gap. Since having him I've had 3 miscarriages, I didn't take them very well so there was a bit of a gap between them and trying again, and boy did I get comments! "Oh don't you think he would like a brother or sister" "time for another?" "When are you having another one"
Little do they know that's it's just not that bloody simple!!! I'm not on cycle 4 of ttc, with the other pregnancies I conceived in the first month, this time around I think it's going to take a lot longer.
Be patient and ignore the comments, I don't think people realise just what they're saying. Good luck with you ttc journey xx

I can so relate to this. My mil keeps telling me 'to get on with it because your not getting any younger'.
Ds took over a year to concieve but I also naively thought for some reason the second time would be quick 😅

I have a 5 year old. Been trying for number 2 for 8 months. No luck yet. I have this gloomy feeling it may never happen

I hear this a lot but I never got asked when we were having DC1. I did get asked if DC1 was planned which was weird because he came along 14 months after our wedding. But still, having the checkout woman in Tesco asking if he was planned was odd.

Because of our age I was sure we would get "when is DC2 coming!?" But we haven't.

I had a MMC in Dec so I guess people are now assuming we are trying and are too scared to ask about DC2. Those who don't know about the MMC haven't mentioned DC2 but I wouldn't be too scared to say "we'll we are trying but it ain't happening"

I went to the pharmacy last week to buy a test and the women pointed to the test, then to her tummy, then back to the test with a “will this... will this be a good then then? Or??”

WHAT?! Little shocked me was just “um.. yeah, I’m not in here 3 times a week for nothing!”
