PCOS & BBT charting

Hey! I’m 24 and have a soon to be 6yr old already. I conceived naturally and fast first time round. Last year in may I came off the pill and started having really long cycles. Decided to give it 3 months for my body to adjust. Then I went to GP who had bloods taken and said it would be PCOS. Told me to go away, lose some weight and come back in a year. I decided to go private through work and saw a gynaecologist, who had ultra sound done to confirm PCOS. I was put on metformin to see if that helps, to then go onto have DH sperm tested and clomid could be given. This month have been charting BBT aswell, not religiously though. I noted a spike in temp a week ago and could see I possibly ovulated this month. The spike in temp has been consistent. Me being impatient I did 2 tests and got BFN. I’m going to wait a week to see if AF arrives or if it could have been late ovulation. Also this cycle is longer than usual- it’s usually 50-54 days, currently on day 68😩

Any idea if I am out this month?

I'm also 24, but trying for baby number 1. I too, am suffering from super long cycles, AF arrived today but this was a 52 day cycle.

I think when cycles are this long you can't rule anything out! But for the last two weeks I think I just knew that I wasn't pregnant... you know?

I haven't been to the doctors yet but I'm considering it if my next cycle is another 45+day cycle.

@StressyLady hey! Have you considered BBT charting? We have been ttc for 9 months now and this is the only month I feel in control. I was told I’m anovulatory, but guess this month charting has shown that I do ovulate (albeit a lot later).

This month I feel weird but I think I am just symptom spotting😭

I would consider going to the GP sooner, I held off thinking it would sort itself out, when I realised it didn’t. How long have you been ttc? Wishing you all the best hun xxxx

I'm going to start this month with the BBT charting, good to know it helped you feel a bit more in control! This is technically my 3rd cycle trying... over the space of 5 months.

Are you POAS regularly? I think that's all you can do! Let me know how it goes.

I think you ovulated somewhere around CD58/59 but as you're missing some temps it's hard to know for sure! That would make you no more than 12dpo today but possible 11/10 which is still early so you're not out.
I have PCOS too and it is a bit of a nightmare. I hope you get your bfp this cycle 🤞

@StressyLady I feel as though that’s all my life is revolving around these days. BFN for last 3 days but will keep trying as temp has stayed consistent.
