@kaylsd you're right there is so much to be thankful for in life and I've had such a lovely holiday, too. I love Faith Evans! What a blast from the past. Hope you are feeling good today xxx

CycloGoose · 18/04/2021 09:58

@Kitty0389 hope your scans go well today lovely lady xxx

Welcome @sarie24 and good luck!

How are you feeling @Iloveoreos ? I hope the doctors are able to help you understand a bit more. It's possible that you normally do ovulate but didn't this time. Could be that the egg tried to pop out but didn't quite make it. I think that's what has happened to me this month.
April seems to be a month for mad ovulation all round!
Re smear, I've never had a problem with it mild discomfort at most and I often find intercourse painful. Like the other ladies have said, let the nurse know you're nervous. Another tip is to take some rescue remedy or eat s couple of bananas before you go in to calm you down as the calmer you are, the easier it is. You can't have a smear during period fyi xxx

Kitty0389 · 18/04/2021 10:05

@CycloGoose @minthumbugs @Iloveoreos

Thanks for the good messages. Scan was quick, and relatively painless. Ovaries look fine, uterus was a bit trickier. I have a retroverted uterus which means it’s positioned really difficultly for imaging. So they’ve identified a fibroid but can’t tell if it’s in the lining of the uterus or if it’s in the muscle of the womb. If it’s the first it’s likely to cause issues with conception, if it’s the latter, then no problem. So I’ll probably have to go for a hysteroscopy, where they put a camera up through your cervix to have a look... hope everyone else is doing ok!

CycloGoose · 18/04/2021 10:11

Wow @Kitty0389 that's a lot of information for you to process. I hope that they can get you booked in quickly xxx

minthumbugs · 18/04/2021 10:37

@CycloGoose it was lovely thank you! MIL accidentally left the bag with the wine in it at home 🙈 so I had a cocktail can but could only have a few sips, it was far too strong and I couldn't drink it. How was your break?

@Kitty0389 glad you've had your scan and have a plan of action! How long will it be until you get your hysteroscopy? Hope it turns out to be the latter. 🤞🏻

MammaJ21 · 18/04/2021 11:31

@justwant2beamum @CycloGoose

I don't know if I have ov...was using opks to see when surge was had first one Mon. continued opks just to see really and assumed they'd go negative. had a neg but then positives again for a couple of days. Very confusing.
Maybe I'm not ov as you say... very confusing!

Thanks ladies

Iloveoreos · 18/04/2021 11:39

@cyclogoose...ooh thanks for the banana tip.that sounds like a good idea. Waiting for af to arrive now and then will book smear accordingly

CycloGoose · 18/04/2021 12:12

@MammaJ21 with the most recent one you posted, I think that must trigger ovulation as it is so strong. So fingers crossed the earlier one was a false start and this is your actual ovulation! Lots of people have later ovulation after miscarriage.

@Iloveoreos I had to eat bananas to pass my driving test 🤣 something to do with the potassium I think!?

I'm just waiting for AF now so I can have a new cycle and new hope! I am seeing a slight rise now but too slow and low to support a pregnancy I think.
Wish my GP would do some tests. I've left it too late to order my own progesterone test this month but I'm going to do it next month.

@MammaJ21 what CD are you on? Perhaps your body is just taking a while to gear up this month. Have you been tracking BBT too?

@CycloGoose glad your temp is starting to rise now! Onwards and upwards (lol). Hopefully your body stops messing you around now. X

Ivw never tracked bbt...of I count first day of MC bleeding as day 1, I'm day 18.
So seems a bit late?

My last cycle was 27/8 days (I had a MC then 27/8 days til af)

@CycloGoose thanks. it's so hard to know!

minthumbugs · 18/04/2021 15:00

Ahhh ok @MammaJ21. For what it's worth after my last MC my cycles went to the complete opposite really short compared to my normal long ones. Seem to be going back to normal now, I was really stressed about it too. X

kaylsd · 19/04/2021 08:17

Morning ladies hope you are well, how beautiful was the weekend just gone? Was so nice to be in summer ish clothes and just spending time in the garden, in my unwind time I like to read, I read this book called the prison doctor, so much eye opening stories for those on the other side especially the female prison she was at! Today's plan is to do more gardening & making tea for the inlaws who's coming round for tea in the garden :)

In terms of TTC, I wish AF would come so she can be greeted as an old friend because I feel like it's been too long 😂 hubs is ringing doctors this morning to get his side of the things booked in and looked at, my app is predicting AF for Thursday but haven't a clue whether it's going to come and go again only time will tell, charts looking good but this means not a lot for me and my strange cycles.. still having strange dreams too 😩😂 here's my chart for abit of jazzz sparkle ✨✨✨ have an amazing Monday everyone, good luck to everyone in the FW or the TWW or cycles doing the Hokey Cokey like mine and haven't a clue what's going off 🙃

minthumbugs · 19/04/2021 08:28

@kaylsd the weekend was beautiful! Everything is a bit better when you have the sun. I love a good read, that book sounds so good.

Ahhhh I hope this cycle gets sorted out for you soon, how long has it been now? That's good that your OH is getting the ball rolling with his side of things, it's all go for you now!

I saw a thing about tracking your resting heart rate throughout your cycle and I've never thought to look before! I think the chart looks just like BBT - rise after ovulation and drops again at AF. I looked at my Fitbit chart from last month and it did exactly that! So I might start obsessing over this, it's supposed to keep rising if AF doesn't come. Give me strength 😂

kaylsd · 19/04/2021 10:48

My next one on my reading list is one called into the woods by Harlan coben 🤓 I'm officially on cycle day 57 apparently 😆 don't worry about that bit though the last time this happened I hit 70 days.. it's so fun being a woman isn't it :') I don't know what happens with my temperatures but it looks slightly more promising than the peak earlier on in this cycle as it struggled to have that big jump and when I compare the temps with previous ones it's looking similar to the ones where I've ovulated, but you never know :)! How does the tracking resting heart rate like, do you need to be posh and have something like a Apple Watch or a fit bit to do it? Or isit a separate device :)? How are you getting along in your cycle chick? I do remember your my maybe TWW twin, have you done any testing? How's your chart looking like :)? Xx

@minthumbugs I forgot to add you in that reply, sorry sweet 🤣🥰

Sarie24 · 19/04/2021 11:45

@minthumbugs Yes! We are trying for our first :) Our best friends started trying in Feb and got pregnant on their first cycle but honestly those guys did the same thing a few years ago - they have some kind of hyper fertility going on LOL. I don't expect that for us but it's just fun to know we're trying as I never honestly thought that time would come for me :) Started using my Clearblue Digital OPK yesterday and got a flashing smiley face this morning so I guess the game is on haha!
And thank you @CycloGoose :)

I'm already just really enjoying following everyone else's journeys and really hoping this is a lucky thread for all of you, especially those of you who've been trying for so long xxx

Iloveoreos · 19/04/2021 11:48

Does this look like a positive opk??

TTC March / April
minthumbugs · 19/04/2021 12:06

@kaylsd that's great that you're getting a rise! Fingers crossed. Lol I usually wear my fitbit everyday so I just checked on that and I'm following the same pattern as last month so far with RHR still rising, I'm finding it quite interesting actually. I stopped charting BBT after I confimed ovulation so just been chilling, haven't tested but I think I may be out today or tomorrow. Oh well we will just have to wait it out I suppose! X

@Sarie24 lucky for some isn't it! woohoo for flashing smiley, good luck for FW. X

I would say very nearly @Iloveoreos, maybe do another one later on today? Or it might be pos tomorrow. X

Iloveoreos · 19/04/2021 14:14

@minthumbugs looks like im ovulating later in the cycle. Which is strange since metaformin was supposed to fix that and ever since starting metaformin ive had exact 29 or 30 days cycle and here im possible and hopefully ovulating on cd 30. 🤷‍♀️
On that note should i ring fertility again to do cd 21 tests again??

kaylsd · 19/04/2021 15:45

@Iloveoreos

Does this look like a positive opk??
I would say this is nearly there / around the corner hunny! Happy Baby dancing ✨✨🙃 as for the day 21 bloods I'm not too sure chick, I would ring them to inform them you believe your ovulating for them to check it? I would be the exactly same as you, my ovulation days when it does happen are never textbook, they are at least between CD19-20 and above 🙈xx

Awww hunny you never know this could be a lucky month for you! Do you have any symptoms bobbing along or do you think AF will come and bite you in the front bottom :( I may invest in a Fitbit or something like that but I've always wondered if I would get much use out of them tbh :') or go a little bit stalker mad tracking my heart rate thinking shall I ring drs 😂🙈 as I've always been quite elevated anyway I think, prob all those wine and cheese nights 🐷

minthumbugs · 19/04/2021 15:57

@kaylsd haha I hope she doesn't bite me in the front bottom 😂 I don't have much going on tbh. At the weekend had some pain around the right ovary area and a little bit of cramping and today (TMI!) kinda yellow almost brown tinged CM so that's what made me think AF is on the way soon. I quite like my fitbit for tracking sleep! And it also helps me remember to get my water intake 🙈 this is what my RHR looks like just now with the big spike in the middle coming after ovulation! Who knows if there's anything to it, but I suppose it's keeping me going having something to look at after stopping BBT and having no OPKs to pee on, haha! X

CycloGoose · 19/04/2021 16:35

@Iloveoreos that is peculiar! I wonder whether it might have been the inositol that was working before because you were taking that too, weren't you and then stopped because of pain? I'd definitely call to discuss it with them. What is the worst that can happen from calling?

@kaylsd I feel I'm with you on the hokey cokey this time. Loved the sun and love your jazzzzzz sparkle! Hope our dreams come true for you! Only the good ones though! I've seen so many bees this month but no idea what my cycle is doing though I do seem to have got a bit of a rise now! Books sound great. I haven't had a good read in ages. All I do is read about fertility! It's taken over my life! Need to improve this!

@minthumbugs ooooh that looks very exciting! Love that and I'm super hopeful that the yellow is an early pregnancy sign for you. I had a look at mine but it's fairly constant - maybe because I have low (self diagnosed) progesterone!? I need to drink more!

I have such sore boobs today. Do you know what, I think I'd quite like to be a man sometimes. Their world seems so much simpler! That's my latest OvuSense attached xxx

minthumbugs · 19/04/2021 16:52

Oh do you think so @CycloGoose? Will you get your 21 day test next month if you need it? Is that normally a symptom for you? Your chart is looking good now 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

CycloGoose · 19/04/2021 17:14

I've not had it before, no @minthumbugs

I think I'm just going to pay for it myself if I don't miraculously get pregnant this month.

Drs aren't really doing anything for me.

The slow slow rise is not good. Could indicate low ovarian reserve 🤷🏼‍♀️
