Can you ovulate without periods?

Just that really. Do periods ALWAYS follow ovulation (except for when preg obviously!) Or is it possible to ovulate and then not have a period even if not pregnant and then ovulate again the following month? I have 2 kids, you'd have thought I'd know how this works by now! I have very irregular periods but wondered if i still ovulate....

Yes, you absolutely can ovulate without it being followed by a period. Many women who get pregnant after recently giving birth experience this.

I'm no expert, but I wouldn't think so! It's possible to have periods without ovulating, but I don't think it's possible to ovulate without having a period, unless you're pregnant

I have pcos and had a period in March 2019 then nothing found out I was 5 weeks pregnant in July so I must have

No you can't and to be honest both examples above are of people finally ovulating but catching pregnant so would have had a period had they not had intercourse 😬

That was my understanding @Juno231. Well fingers crossed i randomly ovulate again sometime 🤞 I had a mc last month and heard you are more fertile after so fingers crossed
