Would just like to ask for some experiences of your cycles when stopping the mini pill to see if anyones in the same boat!
Bit of background: I was on Carrelle/Desogestrel (I think they're the same) for 10 years. Was then given Carazette last year as my next lot and after 4 weeks stopped taking them as they seemed to really mess me up mentally. (I feel like a weights been lifted since stopping!)
Last pill was taken 8th of December last year, and i had a withdrawal bleed 2 weeks later. Then another 2 weeks after that i had 1 week of just spotting but just brown discharge (TMI sorry!) so I didn't count this as a cycle.
I then had a 22 day cycle, and had my first proper period with that cycle. And then went on to have another 22 day cycle, again with another 'normal' period for me. I am aware these are quite short cycles and it's only been 2 proper cycles since stopping the pill so i know it could also be my cycles still settling as this is still early days. I also have no recollection of what my cycles were before starting the pill so no comparisons.
However, I'm now currently on CD26 with 3 BFN's and I've had mild cramps on and off every few days for the past week or so. I've also been taking seven seas TTC tablets since the start of Jan this year in prep for TTC.
I have also been using the 'Clue' app to track my cycles, and i don't agree with the predicted ovulation day as it jumps around when predicted AF doesn't arrive. I can't pin point ovulation either as not been properly tracking it. I'm going to try and just DTD every other day for about 6 months and if still no BFP i'll start using OPK's or BBT tracking.
Sorry, ended up longer than expected but a couple of q's:
- Has anyone else had varied cycles since stopping the mini pill? And did they settle down?
- Has anyone had any issues with the TTC tablets making their cycles longer? If so, did you stop taking them? Or did they help settle cycles? (I'm not too worried yet as i'd be happy if they gave me a longer cycle than 22 days). AF is predicted Saturday so that will be a 28 day cycle, but not too sure what to do if she doesn't arrive. I may stop taking the TTC tablets and go from there.
