IVF PGD self funded

Hey, I'm about to start IVF PGD at the Birmingham womens hospital. We have an 11 year old daughter so this will be self funded treatment. We put off having another child naturally because there was a 50/50 chance of the child inheriting my condition (marfan syndrome).

We're very excited/nervous to start the process and awaiting our first consultation. Has anybody else on here been through this process? I'm 32 and dont think we have any fertility issues so hopefully it will result in a pregnancy. Does anybody know if its unsuccessful if we would get another attempt or would we have to pay the full amount all over again?
