BBT thermometer advice

Decided to try BBT this cycle, CD1 is today.
Anyway I've realised my cheapy thermometer isn't quite doing the trick. Can anyone recommend one where:

  • I can switch the beeping off (not essential but I'm sure hubby won't appreciate the beeping every single day!)
  • has 2 decimal places
  • is backlit (because I can quite see the screen in the dark)
  • has decently large numbers (because I have gammy eyes in the morning)
  • if at all possible something that is quick and doesn't require too much effort because I'm well grumpy in the morning! Grin??

@Lalala1985 how about the femometer one that's got a bluetooth function? Then you don't have to even see the numbers - it just uploads to the app when you feel like it. It does have a backlit screen though as well! and adjustable volume!

That sounds promising, and that’s the app I’m using :)

@Lalala1985 although the app is crap I think! Fertility friend is the go to bbt app - i'd recommend putting your temps in there alongside femometer :)

@Juno231 haha I tried fertility friend, didn't like it and immediately deleted it. I'll try it again :)

@Lalala1985 it looks old and clunky but I find its algorithms to calculate when ovulation occurred seems a lot more accurate than femometers. The key thing though for me is that the femometer scale is big so it doesn't really show much pattern wise whereas every tiny change in temp is very obvious in FF. If you have super obvious temp shifts you'll be fine but I've seen lots of ladies on here struggling to decipher OD otherwise. Just a heads up really!

Bluetooth Femometer worked well for me, and sounds like it might be a good fit for you. I'd sync it all, but then I also manually input my data to Fertility Friend.

Thanks @TomatoSoup69 I've gone ahead and bought it Smile
