Too early to test?

So I’ve done two early detection pregnancy tests, one first response and one clear blue. Both have come back negative. I did the clear blue test 10 dpo and there was the faintest line if you look in the right light etc (it was barely noticeable) but this might have been an evaporation line? That afternoon I got really sharp cramps on the left side of my uterus. I then tested the evening of 11 dpo with first response and definitely got a negative. I’m worried that although I’m using a “6 days before” test, that it’s too early to test? My monthly is due in 3-4 days now, so it’s in the 6 day time frame but I’ve read online that implantation usually occurs between 8 dpo and 10 dpo (I got bad cramps on 10dpo) and it then takes a couple of days for the hcg hormone to be at a detectable level. Could I have tested too early? Or would the early detection test pick up the hormone already?
The only reason I’m so persistent (normally I would just accept the negative test) is because I’ve had mild cramping across my lower back and in my uterus for a few days, I’ve felt sick to the point I was hugging the toilet the other day, I keep getting hot flushes and feeling queasy and my breasts are getting more tender by the day. I appreciate these are symptoms of PMS but I rarely get any pms symptoms and these seem to be really noticeable and impacting me.
Thank you in advance

Yes, could be too early. Some woman don’t start getting a BFP until 12dpo +. The sore boobs are always a tell tale sign for me of pregnant. I’d wait a couple more days and test again with an early response test..

My period was due 14th the Sunday just gone. I got a faint line on a Sainsbury's test the Saturday and then Sunday morning got another faint line on. First response rapid response (25 sensitive not 6 like the early response.) and then another much stronger line yesterday on the same brand test. Just waiting to confirm on digital. So you could still be in with chance x

Could be too early yes. Especially to test in the evening- FMU is always better
