EWCM/OPK's

Hi 👋 so this is my 3rd cycle since coming off the pill but my 1st cycle using OPK's - I really just wanted to know if my EWCM correlates with a positive OPK! I've had aches and EWCM for 2 days (usual for me it seems - the 2nd day is the heaviest) however today I have no EWCM but a peak reading on my OPK. Would you trust the test or stick with the EWCM? If it wasn't for the positive result, I would've told myself that I was through ovulation. I also told OH that yesterday was the finale 😂 but now I'm wondering if we need to DTD for a few more days, what would you lovelies do?

I think EWCF is designed to help sperm survive so it actually makes sense if it often peaks a day or so before ovulation itself. I have never used OPKs but I do chart BBT and the temp shift is often a day or so after the day when I see the most EWCF. And it's only lunchtime -- so you might yet see a bit of EWCF today anyway? In any case, if you are TTC I'd give it another go today if you can manage it!

I'm so glad you've posted about this as I'm finding myself in the same situation. Blazing positive OPK today on cd13 but I'd say the majority of my EWCM arrived on cd11 so two days ago and now my CM seems a mixture of tiny bit of EWCM but mostly creamy

@kittylau44 AF arrived exactly 2 weeks after my peak OPK reading (currently on CD4 now) so I'm thinking EWCM happens a few days before ovulation day. Everything I read is so conflicting about EWCM being the most fertile time but then also ovulation day is the most fertile time too even though they're don't correlate 🤔 I don't think I'll use OPKs this month at all and just DTD from about CD9 to CD16 just to cover all potentials!!
