2nd Cycle...Private tests?

Hi all

Just wanted to voice my thoughts...

My and my OH both have children from other relationships but not together and we are both older than we were when we had the previous children.
I am 33 and he is 61

Came off my copper coil in January and just about to start my second cycle as didnt catch on the first one.

We were thinking of having tests done privately as wont be seen on the NHS yet, do you think this is wise.
It is quite a lot of money to shell out on scans and blood tests and a semen analysis

What have you all done if your ttcing?

If it is your second cycle I would wait a bit before shelling out any money. If maybe in 6 months you haven't caught then I'd start to think about tests but at 33 you have plenty of time.

I would start with testing semen before you just due to your partner's age. But I'd still wait a bit before doing that.
