Come off the pill TTC #1

I'm finally coming off the pill (rigevidon) at the end of my pack to try for baby #1 and I'm extremely anxious as I've been on it for a few years now and I know there are loads of side effects when coming off.
I am 27 years old and just would like some advice on what I should start doing? Any advice welcome Smile

I already take supplements and will start tracking my cycles once I've had my withdrawal bleed to see if I'm ovulating. Im thinking maybe I should not try straight away and wait to get my body back into a proper cycle first?

Thank you in advanced!

It sounds like you're doing what you can with supplements and trying to track.

There's no need to wait but it might save frustration/emotions if you think you're late when you're not.

I found that when stopping the pill the hormones returning to normal mimicked pregnancy symptoms, bloated, nausea, cramps, skin breakouts so while it can happen straight away just remember that as I got quite upset I convinced myself I was when I don't think I'd even ovulated.

I got my withdrawal bleed 6 weeks after stopping (no ovulation before) and conceived that month :)

Good luck :)

@firsttimemummy321 wow you conceived so quickly congratulations Smile
I've been told to wait for a real period first then maybe try after? But honestly there so much information out there is so confusing haha.

I just stopped the pill in January to TTC our first too. I had my WB then I started the clear blue ovulation trackers. They're so good I'd deff recommend them. As PP mentioned about the side effects of pregnancy I was so so sure I was pregnant I felt so sick all the time but I wasn't. I had my first proper period a couple of weeks ago and and now 2DPO. Good luck OP!
