What is an average day 21 progesterone level?

I’ve been trying to conceive for a few years and am currently dieting to get my bmi low enough for ivf. I’m a bit confused about whether I’m ovulating or not!

So, the initial day 21 progesterone level was 27. The dr said less than 30 indicated I hadn’t ovulated that month. I then had to do two more day 21 bloods which showed a level of 32 and 37. Dr said all fine, first must have been a one off. This would be fine but throughout all three cycles my fertility monitor said only high and not peak (so not ovulating). I very rarely get a peak and so thought I wasn’t ovulating. So, had anyone had day 21 bloods and would be happy to share their result? I looked online but many are us measurements or have an enormous range. I’m thinking maybe the monitor isn’t sensitive enough maybe?

I’ve had a couple come back at 27/29 and other at 41/44. These were all taken over a 4 month period. My ob/gyn said she’s pretty certain I am ovulating. I’ve also got peak readings on opk’s. Are your cycles regular and the same length every month? My doctor thinks my lower readings were probably because I ovulated earlier in the month as my cycles can differ by a few days here and there (and apparently that can make a big difference in when you have your progesterone test). I would say it looks like you are ovulating as they say anything over 30 is pretty much you have definitely ovulated and the other two are borderline so perhaps you’d ovulated slightly earlier those months? Best of luck to you xx

I was told it had to be above 30 for
Ttc success. I had it done 3 times - my cycles are long so I had to do it 7DPO rather than day 21 as often I wouldn't even have ovulated by CD21! Anyway... it was never higher than 19. Mostly around 15. I've fallen pregnant twice witjout this causing problems so I'm sceptical about these levels now!

Should add - I found temping to confirm ovulation was far more reliable!

When I wasn't ovulating mine was 2 or less. When I got 16 I was so happy but told that still might not be enough to ovulate. My highest has been 40.
The month I conceived it was 34.

Right I’m going to try temping! Thanks so much for the information, it’s very helpful. There’s so much overwhelming stuff on the internet it’s sometimes hard to work out the answer to a simple question- that was just what I needed. Thanks again 😀
