Chemical - how long until negative test?

Hello ladies.

Looking for some advice please. Last cycle I had a chemical pregnancy at 4+3, I’m now CD10 into my next cycle and about to start OPKs again. I’ve struggled a lot coming to terms with the loss and felt the best thing for me to find closure was to do a test - I hoped seeing that negative would help me move on ready for trying again.

I tested today with late in the day urine, on a CB early detection, and there is still a very very very faint positive line. Now I’m under now illusion, I know that this is NOT a positive pregnancy test, however I am wondering if this is normal to still have a faint positive 10 days after starting bleeding?. Do I need to see my GP or is this normal?

Thank you in advance xxx

Sorry for your loss 😓

I had a chemical last month and I was recommended to wait 2 weeks before testing.
So I did and at 2 weeks I got the negative on the test 😊

I’m sorry this happened to you 😔 I had a chemical in December and I tested the day after the bleeding stopped and got a negative, so that would be about CD8. I’d give it a few days and test again.

I had a miscarriage at 4 weeks 4 days.

I tested about a week and a half after my bleeding started and it was negative.

However, it can take up to 4 weeks for HCG levels to completely return to normal - this is what I was told.

I also have really struggled with the loss. I started miscarrying on the 22nd February.

It’s best to make sure your test is definitely negative before you start trying again.

Sending love to you. @Squeak717 xx

Hi all,

Thank you so much for your kindness and support ❤️ And I’m so sorry to hear of your losses.

I’ve had another faint positive test this morning so may call my GP for some reassurance and maybe bloods to check HCG levels.

Thank you all again for your support. Sending love xxx
