I had a copper coil fitted this morning , now 4 hours later ... I’m bleeding quite heavy , and feeling a bit light headed. Is this normal ? How long should bleeding last ?
What’s everyone’s experience with this ?

Sorry you're not feeling good. I did have some bleeding, yes and felt a bit woozy. I was due to go back to work in the afternoon, but didn't.

Things were much better the following day. Have you got any anti-cramping medicatiton (Buscopan)? That really helped me. If not, pain killers.

I've had mine 2 years now and am very happy with it

Thanks for you’re reply , hopefully it will settle down in a few days then ? I’ve taken some anti inflammatory tablets. Glad you’re happy with yours. 😊

How are you getting on now OP?

@Flippyferloppy
Hi again !
I spoke to the gp yesterday , and she said some bleeding is normal - however If I’m still heavy bleeding Thursday , I will have to take the mini pill to stop the bleeding .
It’s calmed down a bit today . Still very much on and off though. 🙄 xx
