Positive OPK but no temp rise

My chart is a mess due to a miscarriage last cycle plus very poor sleep as my daughter has me up every few hours. I had a very strong positive OPK on cycle day 16 but no real temp rise.

Has anyone else had this? Seems weird to have a positive OPK but not ovulate. Might I have ovulated but because of the disturbed sleep I'm not seeing a rise?

The blue line on the chart is my temp. The orange one is resting heart rate.

Hello - this is not unusual tbh. It just means your body tried to ovulate but didn't. You can get multiple peak OPKs in a cycle but it's always the last one that counts. Carry on using OPKs and temping until you see a temp rise. It wouldn't be unusual to have a wonky cycle post miscarriage as well.

I'd suggest you use a BBT temp adjuster for your most recent temp though in case that was the first day of a temp rise and you've taken it earlier than usual.

Yeah you could be right, in which case we missed our chance this month 😩

I don't use OPKs but about 1/3 of my cycles have always had 2 or more patches of fertile cf and lower temps rather than just one before ovulation -- i.e. the body gears up to ovulate but doesn't actually do it the first time. Knowing my cycles are like this is one of the reasons I've never used OPKs actually. I just go by temps and my cervical fluid and assume I am fertile as long as there is fertile cf unless or until I've seen three clear high temps in a row.
