Losing weight to TTC!

DP and I have been together a year. We aren't TTC at the moment, however he is ten years older and desperate for children, and I have an almost 4yo DD from a previous relationship and have been broody for 2 years now, and ideally don't want a huge age gap. We're planning to try for children in the future, though I would like to get married first...

Anyway! Currently my BMI is 31. I'd like to lose 2-3 stone to be healthy and in the best shape I can be for TTC, when that time comes. I've already done one pregnancy overweight and unhealthy, I want it to be different next time around, whether that's in 3 months or 3 years!

Is anyone else in the same boat and fancy supporting each other? Smile

I'll join you! My bmi is currently around 33, I know I need to loose a couple of stone to be able to have a healthy pregnancy but I also see lots of bigger women have perfectly healthy pregnancies 🙂

Yay @happywednesday glad to have you!

My BMI is currently 31 so I really want to get it down. Last time I was pregnant it was 29 so I was just low risk, but I really struggled through pregnancy, gained 3 stone and felt so huge and uncomfortable at the end. This time I'd like to have a healthy BMI to start with and then I won't find it so difficult.

I've started a new workout routine so I do 4 workouts a week and trying to hit 10k steps a day. I'm rubbish at healthy eating but really trying to cut down on the rubbish, I eat way too much sugar!

What are you guys thinking of doing? I haven’t sorted eating out yet but making other small changes. So I’ve added in drinking at least 1.5 litres of water and also jogging. Also stopped snacking so I only eat 3 meals a day.

I've been vegan since 1st Jan and lost a little bit of weight eating that way. Not a lot, like 6lbs so less than a pound a week.
Ideally going to calorie count and just try to eat 1800-2000 cals a day. I'm 5'8 and 14st so eating that way I should lose around 1-2lbs a week. I burn anything from 2500-3200 a day, higher end is on workout days. I do 4x workouts a week with a PT online.

Hello all ☺️

I'd like to join please!

I've always had issues with my weight. I managed to get to a healthy weight but 8 years in a happy relationship hasn't helped my waistline 🤦🏻‍♀️ We've only just started trying, but I wanted to loose a bit before succeeding.

I've been my target weight for my height before and I looked ill! So I'm going to just going to aim to loose a few stone 🤞I eat really healthy, I just hate exercise 🤣 Hopefully we can lean on each other for support and motivation x
