I'm TTC baby #1 and on cycle 3. Has anyone tried Pregnacare? I have read on the box that it says it can change a monthly cycle.

What's everyone's thoughts on them? Has anyone had any experience?

I used his and hers and conceived first cycle so I rate them! Although took them for around 3 months pre TTC.

No cycle changes for me just bright yellow wee! X

BrodieKD · 10/03/2021 09:46

@Amz6219 haha I have heard that bright yellow/green urine is a side effect too! I have read up on the reviews and looks good but just worried about the cycle being upset by it. I'll have a wee think and see if I want to start taking it.

Totally messed up my cycle.
I used boots combined folic acid and vit d (about 3/4 of the price too!)

Messed up my cycle, I only got a period when I stopped taking them 🤦🏼‍♀️

BrodieKD · 10/03/2021 12:16

@Alicespring @sneakpeek1414 oh no - maybe not worth the stress of it. Thanks for letting me know.

I've been taking it for several months now and have had no issues at all, although I'm yet to have a successful pregnancy

I've been ttc for a long time and was taking these. Was only through reading comments on these boards that I realised it was affecting my cycles. I've stopped taking them now and just take folic acid, inofolic alpha, magnesium, flaxseed and vitamin D. The Fertility Consultant we are under at the hospital said she couldn't recommend anything else that I should take. Was so glad when I stopped taking them as they're like horse pills

Ps: yes to the green wee too!

I started taking this 3 months before i started trying for both my pregnancies and never had any problems. Was told this range is the gold standard of health care supplements. I still use the range now because it always has the best range and highest content of vitamins and minerals

Hi
I am trying for my first baby and thought I best get my body in best shape. I eat a really healthy balanced diet, exercise and are a healthy weight.
My last cycle was 38 days and then had a very normal AF however I am now bleeding twoish weeks after and it is very AF like however very light and only really when I go to the loo.
It’s only when I started googling I realised pregnacare can do this and actually has it on the side of the packet!!
Has anyone else experienced this?
I think I am going to stop taking them.

lavenderlilaclily · 20/04/2021 11:16

I've used these and I rate them. They might have extended my luteal phase by a day or two I think but this was very welcome as I have a short luteal phase! and they do indeed turn your wee very bright yellow/lime green :D I did conceive on them last time, but not right away or anything like that. I've got my my DH on the wellman ones now that we're ttc again.

lavenderlilaclily · 20/04/2021 11:19

I think though they have a pretty high concentration of B vitamins which might be what extends people's cycles, esp. the B6 (I'm no expert though). If all your B levels are good and high already, then it might be unnecessary and a folic acid + D vitamin might be totally enough. I've always had lowish B levels when I've had blood tests since I was a teenager so I know B supplementation benefits me, might not benefit everyone in the same way

Hammybear · 20/04/2021 11:26

I used them for 2 cycles and then stopped because my 30 day cycle changes to a 40 day cycle. This is the first month not taking them and fingers crossed my cycle returns to normal.

BrodieKD · 20/04/2021 18:37

I took 1 and then decided it wasn't worth the risk of upsetting my cycle - I fell pregnant the same month :) good luck ladies xx
