Not bothering to TTC anymore

So we decided to try for another baby last year, it's not straight forward for us and took 18 months to fall with out first. Prior to trying I had an operation to help me carry a baby to full term as I am super high risk of pre term labour. We got pregnant the first month we tried which was such a surprise but it sadly ended in a miscarriage. My cycles have gone back normal straight away which is a positive but I just can't be bothered to actively ttc. From this month I am no longer tracking, using opks, using an app takong any notice of my fertile week and just DTD when we want. I hate ttc.... Its so stressful!

I understand your frustration.
I remember when I first started ttc for my first I never bothered with any of this and fell first time! Unfortunately I lost the baby around 20weeks and now I know, like you, I will be high risk and surgery to help keep a baby until full term.

We are ttc now but like you again, I'm so sick of it all. The waste of money, time and energy is crazy

Rant over. But yh I totally get you.

Don't stress and just enjoy. It'll happen when it happens.

I wish you all the best x

Your frustration is totally understandable. I'd say to any woman without fertility issues, to keep trying but without a specific plan. Expectations stress us out. As they say the best things in life happen when you are least expecting them.

Hi!

I’m new to writing in forums but have turned to this today as a way of venting to women that are relatable.

I fully understand the whole giving up, 19 months in (when everyone and their dog seems to have got pregnant and had their lockdown babies), our journey still hasn’t even started.

Not conceived even once, all the tests are coming back fine, so am feeling flat out right now!

Please keep faith in the journey as you have managed to conceive the first time so IT WILL and CAN happen again.

Sending all you ladies a lot of positivity for your families to be complete in the way you hope them to be!

I totally understand, I’m on cycle 27 trying for our first, approved for IVF but in the process of getting my BMI down but they said at the hospital they wouldn’t be surprised if it happens naturally, I almost wish they hadn’t said that cause I hold out hope every month! More so since I totally overhauled my lifestyle to lose the weight. Some months are worse than others but this one has been awful (currently 2 days late with BFNs) and I had a moment today of ‘I can’t do this anymore’, it’s draining! Totally feel for you x

Thank you @GiaM91! Smile That means a lot to all of us who are facing infertility.

Ah ladies, I havent seen any of your responses until tonight.
Thank you for sharing your stories.
I am finding this 2ww horrible and I still have another week to go. Lockdown doesn't help, working from home doesn't help.... There is nothing to distract me so I end up stressing myself out. Looking forward to some warmer weather so I can get out for walks to lift my mood and distract me from myself.

@Rightthen24 That's what I was talking about recently. The restrictions don't help us at all, we are out of distractions. Netflix has become our addiction.
