Hi everyone!
So I am 6 days late! Had bad af cramps like usual and a lot of extra cf for m 4 days at time of af due! But nothing happened. I have done some test thought could see something faint at start but not convinced now as can’t see anything. Very unlike me to be late!
With my first, I tested day before af was due and there was a strong clear line instantly but did have several hyperemisis untill the min she was born.
Could I be pregnant this time, with it being so different! Going a little crazy!
Thank you for your time x

Ah sorry ladies I didn't get any notifications that anyone had posted and now I see there's loads to catch up on! I've been using OPK this month to see what my cycle is up to after the "think I was pregnant but wasn't fiasco"! I'm 2DPO but that was very late for my "normal" (whatever that is turning out to be at the moment!) cycle so I think my period might be late again this month! Welcome to the new ladies!

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 24/03/2021 15:19

Hi Gigchic, hope all's well! That's good, we should all be near enough the same time then.

I actually have just had a positive opk on cycle day 12 or 13 (of a 30 day cycle). Last month I didn't get a positive opk (just flashing smileys), and the month before it was at CD 21. So I'm guessing the soy has moved it forwards

SilentPanic · 25/03/2021 10:08

Hey guys. Thought I'd update. STILL no AF, am now 11 days late. One negative on a cheapie test and another negative on a ClearBlue Digital. This is unheard of for me and I'm confused, esp. as I'm late enough that if I was up the duff, the hormone level should be sky high by now. I'm feeling a bit queasy too, and only in the mornings, but think that it's probably my mind messing around with me.
Pg people don't test negative when they're this late, right?!

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 25/03/2021 10:23

@SilentPanic stressful! I was 2 weeks late (normally v v regular) and when looking around, some people got a positive two weeks late if they ovulated late. So possible if you're not tracking ovulation. In my case I was so so bloated, and a bit nauseous (similar feeling as to when I've been pregnant before) but period did come eventually.

Ivy99 · 25/03/2021 10:35

@SilentPanic we can all relate to how you’re feeling right now, we was all in that boat a few days ago. I was convinced I was pregnant but I really do think the stress of it all makes things worse too.

As @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 said, you could still test positive 2 weeks late if you ovulated late so unfortunately it’s such a horrible waiting game! I was waking up every morning, testing first thing, getting bfn then spends half the day researching what it could be! And that’s when I found this thread!

I really hope you’re doing ok!

gigchic · 25/03/2021 11:05

@SilentPanic yep we've all been there so know how you are feeling. Unfortunately it seems most likely your period will come late. It's really annoying as all of us on here seem to have regular periods but for some reason (maybe egg got fertilised and then changed its mind?!) we did get periods eventually but very very late. There's still a chance you could be pregnant though but try and just keep waiting and my doctor said don't keep testing daily - weekly or every 5 days is fine. You can also ask for blood test and check up at doctors - my doctor was amazing but it seems some aren't so supportive. I'm 38 and this is first time trying so maybe they were a bit more on it with me. But basically this whole TTC things seems to be a big waiting game. Just gotta wait for nature to do it's thing. So annoying! But keep updating us!

caz1319 · 26/03/2021 12:14

@SilentPanic ah sorry to hear your still in the same confused position. Like others had said could be you ovulated late. Are you under any stress? That could be a factory to a late period.
If you get to 2 weeks late perhaps call doctor and see if they can do bloods , would put your mind at ease.

I havnt tracked ovulation this month just trying to do the deed every other day through out the whole month and what will be will be.

The hope of us having some normality soon is helping massively! Have my first girls night planned so something to look forward to (even if we’re be in a cold pub garden ) 😂

Hope you are all doing well. Not long until we can start crazy symptom spotting and trying to find faint lines!

Hey all! Hope you're all having nice weekends.
AF is now 15 days late- looks like I'll miss this one altogether. Trying not to think about it too much because of the negative tests, but it's all very odd. Might make an appt with the doctor this week, but not sure really.

gigchic · 29/03/2021 11:51

@SilentPanic I'm sure if you spoke to a doctor they'd put your mind at rest and they should be very supportive. Don't let yourself carry on getting stressed about it when a quick chat with a doctor could make you feel a lot better. My doctor was brilliant. Have you ever missed a period altogether before? It's really odd how so many of us have this happen when trying to conceive.

caz1319 · 31/03/2021 23:21

@SilentPanic how you doing! Any signs of af yet?

I am 8 days until af is due! Currently trying to pick at weird twinges.

I have everything crossed for everyone this month x

SilentPanic · 31/03/2021 23:50

Aaaaah caz the symptom spotting is crazy isn't it! It makes us super aware of our patterns and fluctuations, but takes so much energy!
18 days late now... Last did a test on Sunday. Still negative. Confused

Ivy99 · 01/04/2021 07:48

Hi everyone,

I hope you’re all doing ok?!

I’m now CD13 today, and this is my 3rd day of flashing smileys on the clear blue ovulation stick. Was expecting my peak today as my app predicts ovulation for Saturday. But maybe I’ll test again later today.

I was feeling really calm about the ovulation sticks this month, as the flashing smiley put my mind at ease but I can already feel myself going mad with not getting a peak yet 🙄

caz1319 · 01/04/2021 08:13

@SilentPanic how frustrating for you! Have you called doctors yet?

@Ivy99 when we were trying for our first I used to take ovulation sticks but used to always get random smiley faces and never knew when my peak was . I found they they stressed me out more too ! ..... not using this time round just hoping it works at correct time 🤣

OP posts:
Ivy99 · 01/04/2021 09:52

@caz1319 yea I’m really worried that now I’m going to get all crazy because I’ve not had a peak! Lol. But reading up on it, you can have like a really short shot of the LH hormone so may miss it anyway. So I’m just trying to DTD every other day lol. It’s all too stressful! 🤣

I only wanted to do the ovulation sticks to confirm ovulation, well confirm there were some hormones at work! 😬😬

SilentPanic · 01/04/2021 11:42

Haven't phoned the doctor yet... I don't know why, I'm thinking of waiting until my period is due again (in a week or so). I'm not really stressing about it at the moment, but my google history is aaaaall about pg people testing negative- a teeny tiny minority, I know.

For those of you using OPKs, just thought I'd add- I haven't used them for years, but I did 10 years ago when trying for my youngest. I never ever registered any peak or fluctuation on them- according to the tests, I never ovulated. I panicked and made an appt with a fertility specialist. By the time the appt letter came though, I was expecting (having dtd at a time when, according to the tests, I was definitely not ovulating...)

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 01/04/2021 12:03

Have any of you tried temping? To confirm ovulation? I thought it'd be a huge huge faff, but its actually really easy and I can see that I have ovulated. OPK's sometimes work for me, sometimes no peak, and I find it annoying to have to do them each day. Plus expensive!

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 01/04/2021 12:06

Also, I'm 6dpo and had quite a few drinks with friends yesterday. Is this normal or are any of you abstaining during 2ww? I'm feeling weirdly guilty about it today, so might have soft drinks out the rest of this weekend

Ivy99 · 01/04/2021 13:52

I’ve not tried temping no, as I also thought it would be a huge faff. And I was confused as to when you do it as it says when you first wake up before you even get out of bed, but I often get up around an hour before my alarm for a wee 🤣 and also, I’m not very good at getting up at the same time every day lol.

In terms of the drinking, I’ve just really tried to cut back, as I’m a bit of a drinker. So me and Oh have agreed to only drink when we go out or have an occasion. As we would happily have a few drinks drink on Friday-Sunday regardless! So we’ve cut that back. But I’m also worried as the end of my tww will be my birthday! So if AF doesn’t arrive I won’t want to touch a drink, but equally I don’t want anyone to think anything for not having a drink, like I don’t have a clue what excuse I could possibly use!

Sorry bit of a rant there lol. But I’ve been reading up on this and I think you’re ok with a couple here and there, as I think it’s once the placenta kicks in that’s when everything starts getting to baby through bloodstream (I could be totally wrong) but I think you’ll be ok 👍🏼

caz1319 · 01/04/2021 16:04

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I havnt done temping. I am
Quite relaxed when it’s comes to the ovulating side just a crazy person in the ttw. I find if I test my ovulation and try it do when I peak i feel more gutted when not pg, where as if I just have sex throughout I have covered all bases and tired my best! If that makes sense.

I am still drinking! I have some pub evenings booked too and going to drink . I could be wrong but I don’t think a few would do any harm.

What day is everyone due on again?

OP posts:
A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 01/04/2021 16:21

Okay good not just me then! That's what I think I'll do too, few glasses of wine here and there when out.

Honestly with the temping its super easy, have it on my bedside table, pop it in my mouth before getting up for the loo, put the temp into Flo app, and it calculates your graph. Know what you mean about feeling really gutted though if you've done everything right that month and STILL not pregnant!

@Ivy99 I know social things when people know you like a drink are hard to navigate! 'Gin' and tonic maybe!

Ivy99 · 06/04/2021 14:07

Hi Everyone, I hope you all had a nice easter weekend?

Just thought i'd check in and see how you're all doing?

I finally got my peak on the clearblue opk on sunday afternoon, after 5 days of flashing smileys! Although me and OH were incredibly hungover so only managed to dtd on the monday morning! So who knows. We also DTD every other day from the first flashing smiley. Now into the dreaded 2ww!

Hope you're all ok xx

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 06/04/2021 14:12

@Ivy99 lovely weekend thanks, hope you did also. Yay to the peak! Sounds like you did loads.

I'm okay thanks. 11 dpo, not feeling very confident about it. Keep thinking period is going to start. Had a negative test yesterday.

How's everyone else?

Ivy99 · 06/04/2021 14:24

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 Yes it was good thank you. Apart from the horrible hangover Sunday! (Can't complain too much as it was self inflicted lol)

I know, i was getting really fed up with the flashing smileys! And on sunday it was like 12:30 when i tested and I just left it on the side expecting another flashing face, and was quite surprised to see the static!

I really hope we've managed it this month, as AF is due on my birthday!! So that won't be fun! And OH's birthday is 3 days after mine so would love to surprise him on his birthday. But i'm really trying not to get my hopes up, i'm already dreading the disappointment!

Keeping fingers crossed for you! I'm sending myself insane already and i'm only 1DPO! :(

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 06/04/2021 15:03

@Ivy99 but it sounds like the Saturday must have been very good though 🤣

Aah I hope so too, fingers crossed for you.

Thanks! I am also, driving myself mad hoping this month

gigchic · 06/04/2021 15:29

Hi ladies, I've just come off my period (don't think I ovulated last month due to the very late period the month before) so we're starting our first proper (planned) cycle this month. My partners meant to be going away for a work sometime this week though so not sure we'll be able to DTD at the right time 🤦‍♀️. Fingers crossed for everyone 🤞🤞. Part of me doesn't want to get pregnant this month anyway as the pubs are back open next week and our village local is 100m from the house! 😂🤣
