6 days late, not like the first time ! Any one else?

Hi everyone!
So I am 6 days late! Had bad af cramps like usual and a lot of extra cf for m 4 days at time of af due! But nothing happened. I have done some test thought could see something faint at start but not convinced now as can’t see anything. Very unlike me to be late!
With my first, I tested day before af was due and there was a strong clear line instantly but did have several hyperemisis untill the min she was born.
Could I be pregnant this time, with it being so different! Going a little crazy!

@Ivy99 It is stressful! I've also been convinced I must be pregnant like your first cycle, and haven't been - must be super aware to any minor change now cos I'm paying so much attention!

@Ivy99 welcome! It’s so frustrating isn’t it, I know hard but try not to to stress about it and relax. If a test doesn’t show maybe a blood test would put your mind at ease. How are you feeling ?

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 same! Because I’ve been on the pill for over 10 years with no period what so ever, I’m finding I now notice every single twinge and I’m thinking is that normal?!

@caz1319 Thank you! It’s really stressful, more so trying to figure out different dates. Of possible dates of ovulation 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’ve spoken to OH this morning about it all and I’ve decided I’m going to re-test Saturday morning if AF hasn’t arrived by then as Saturday would be CD28. I’ve also decided to stop taking the TTC tables as of today. So we shall see.

It’s just so so stressful not knowing what’s going on, especially with BFN. So confusing!

Hi Ivy, I'd recommend Proceive vitamins, they haven't changed my cycle and I couldn't find any reviews where anyone mentioned that they had. But still, fingers crossed for a positive on sat!

I'm okay thanks, I'm on day 5 of the soy isoflavones (CD 6), got to say the side effects haven't been too pleasant so I'm hoping they work!

Where's everyone else at in terms of CD?

@caz1319 Im doing alright, just had a little spotting which normally means AF will start in a day or two. I'm not too bothered though, just glad I can finally start over soon. So rude of AF to be almost 2 weeks late! How are you doing?

@Ivy99 @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 You definitely get hyper-aware of the slightest possible symptom, don't you? Its so frustrating. Then when you add a late period into the mix its so hard not to be overthinking everything. I have a feeling the stress of it all is probably what's made me so late, and possibly what was causing the nausea as stress tends to make me quite sick.

I think this time round in addition to getting DP to track dates etc for me, I'm going to keep myself busy and focus on planning trips away in the summer etc so I don't stress too much. With my first I don't remember having any symptoms before testing positive, I just kind of knew I was pregnant, so I imagine it'll be similar this time round.

Ah Eager I'm sorry. Yes a late period is so mean, literally turns one week of stress and obsessing into three weeks of it. Sounds like a good plan to be looking forward to the summer :) Me as well, can't wait to get a change of scenery.

@EagerToKnow I’m the biggest stress head ever, and oddly enough I was at my most stressed the last 2 cycles when I actually had a proper period, as we were moving house, with loads going wrong last minute! But this cycle we finally completed and I’ve been so much less stressed and chilled out and now AF decides to not show up! I wouldn’t mind, but with the BFN too it’s just really confusing me, and worrying me that something might be wrong! As I’m sure you can imagine, I over think everything too!! 🙄

I think we could all do with a holiday!! 🙈

I've had 3 days of very light spotting now, I just want AF to hurry up and get out the way. I feel like I'm missing out on a month of TTC if this takes much longer!

I’m doing ok thanks, I did another test Friday and got a BFN, so ordered some frers online to re test on Sunday, and AF arrived at the same time as the tests!! So that was a 28 day cycle for me, so now I’m hoping I can start a fresh. I also got a clear blue ovulation kit as I’m worried I’m not ovulating or ovulation at a completely different time.

It’s frustrating isn’t it, I know 28 days is average but it was a roller coaster of emotions as I really thought I may have got a BFP as I’d had 2 cycles of 22 days! It really messed with my head 😔

I hope AF arrives properly for you soon so you can get back to TTC! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

@EagerToKnow absolutely, that's how mine was also actually, days of spotting and it was infuriating! Hope it comes properly for you soon.

Its lovely in London atm, beautiful weather, lots of people out and in good moods. Feeling positive about this month, amazing how much difference a bit of sun makes.

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 AF finally came last night after 4 days of non-committal spotting. Bit frustrating as I've now missed the opportunity to try this month and have no clue what my cycles are doing, but at least something is happening! How are you?

@Ivy99 Talk about timing! At least you have the tests ready for next time and we both have a fresh start.

I'm not going to track now I think, it'll only drive me mad if AF is late again and I'd rather just focus on enjoying my time with DP. Fingers crossed we all have some better luck!

I’m back at work today and I almost collapsed on the way to the station!! I’m soooo unfit! I think AF is on her way out now so fingers crossed for this month. But I’m going to now try and put my focus into loosing some weight and getting healthier as I’m worried my weight might be effecting things.

I’m going to use an OPK this month, just to make sure I’m actually ovulating and then next month I’m taking the “see what happens” approach as I’m Driving myself mad!! If I hadn’t have tracked anything this month I’d have been none the wiser that the cycle was just longer! Spent a week driving myself insane and stressing out 😔

@Ivy99 I'm doing alright, just eager to get AF over and done with now. I think its definitely worth taking a step back from tracking if you're not lucky this time round, even if only so you're not stressing over being a couple days late or any potential symptoms etc

Hey guys, can I join you? I'm in a different position to you all, in that I am in no way ttc. Very new relationship (though I've known him a long time), but misjudged my cycle a few weeks ago and when I checked on my app, I was at my most fertile. I am regular to the day (28 day cycles) and am now 10 days late. Have been feeling like AF is on its way for the past fortnight, but I felt that when pg before.
Took 2 tests on Friday. One was invalid (no line at all) and the other was negative. But now that there's STILL no AF, I'm starting to think that the tests were obviously crappy because one didn't work at all, what if it was just too early, what if what if what if...
Have ordered some more tests on Amazon, they'll get here tomorrow or Thursday. I'm trying to weigh up the likelihood- on one hand, I had unprotected sex when I was at my most fertile and now my period is late... on the other hand, I tested negative seven days after AF was due...Driving myself mad!

Know the feeling, just want to get on with this cycle now. 🤞🏻🤞🏻 For both of us. I completely agree I think the stress of it makes it worse!
But the late AF has really worried me and I just want to make sure I’m ovulating and then I’ll be completely taking a step back!

@SilentPanic - hiya! what app are you using? I use clue app and that’s all over the place. But welcome to the frustration of it all, it’s horrible. Not sure what else to suggest other than testing again. But It’s so stressful! Hope you’re ok 🤞🏻

@SilentPanic wow that's quite scary. I'm hopeful you're okay when your tests arrive. If its any consolation, we have all had sex multiple times in the fertile window with a very late period, and aren't pregnant. So hopefully hopefully you're just late. Gosh stressful. Let us know the outcome

Thanks! As I'm never ever late, I had kind of become used to the idea of another baby before getting my BFN- the test felt like just a confirmation, so it was a surprise to get a negative. Now, everytime I go to the loo and see that there's still no AF, I don't know if I'm pleased or not. I've had ac MC before now, at the end of my marriage, and kind of thought that was it for me, so this has made me really think about the future and what it is I want/what would be fair on any potential child.

Sorry I missed the question by Ivy - I use Eve. It's been great up to now with knowing when AF could arrive, but I am 38 and this could be perimenopause...

Ohh Silent apologies I thought from your initial message you were hoping for a negative test! I don't think it'd be perimenopause at your age 😁 Maybe pregnant maybe a late ovulation. None of us are used to late periods, and all of us (except Ivy) got them in the end.

Hello @SilentPanic, hope you're feeling alright! I'm sorry to hear you're in such a stressful situation, it really is awful when AF is late but you keep getting BFNs. If its any consolation, we've all been in the same boat. I can usually predict my AF to the day but it was over 2 weeks late with days of spotting and still hasn't properly started compared to normal. Fingers crossed you get some answers soon!

I think AF is finally on her way out now, so I’m going to start using the OPKs soon just to make sure I’m ovulating. I’m also back in the office now so getting a lot more exercise and I’m determined to be healthier and loose some weight!
